I was suprised there wasn't "traditional" category for wallpapers at all. I just wanted something with texture on my screen and because I quite like it myself I thought I'd share it with you. I hope somebody else finds it useful too. It inspires those long daydreams in the middle of the workday when you get a glimpse to another place from your ordinary life.
I'm sorry for being so absent lately. I don't like painting digitally at home because my computer is so old it makes it much less fun. But as I get to paint all day at work it's relaxing to mess with oils too.
The fact that some of you have used this as a wp makes me really happy as I was a bit scared of uploading t in the first place.

*squee* I'm so glad I found this (and that you got a DD for it!) I've been looking for a traditional wall paper, it fits the theme I have going on my computer. I have few few Icon on my desktop (too many drives me bonkers!) But I LOVE the way it looks!
I'll probably have it up for a long time. It's so pretty! Plus, I can show it off to all of my friends and family.

Cool, I think my problem with icons is that I save everything to my desktop screen as a temporary file. Somebody should slap me every time I do that.

I love what you've done to adapt this for a desktop... It frames it nicely, and the off-centre position really helps draw the eyes to it more.

This is great! The sides really add up to the original painting as piece of art, not just as wallpaper.
Btw... I made a traditional-ish wallpaper some time ago as well, thought you might be interested. Check it out here! . It IS digital art, btw, but with some traditional looking filters.

No the blue area is actually just a blueish blurred copy with texture. You can see the whole painting in the link that was in the description. I added the blue because I tend to have a lot of (completely useless) stuff on my desktop. I'm just a messy person in general

well the other part really looks like foggy mountains, and like it has the effect of the other part being a clear view through it. Relieving.

Haha, I for one know exactly what you mean with that... and I think it's funny, because when I just looked at this image on my desktop... my icon mess covers most of that blue space.
