This is Meowth's conception better explained special edition thing. And to answer the question I've been getting alot, this isn't specifically Team Rocket's Meowth, just like SSB Pikachu isn't specifically Ash's Pikachu.Related content

It's too bad Meowth didn't make it as a Smasher. This is a decent setup and I'm sure it would please a lot of fans to be able to play as this well-known feline.

I think he should be a playable character but he should have some thing generally unnoticeable that proves he's the anime Meowth, like his payday coins should actually look like Jame's bottle caps because the anime Meowth can't really learn that move.

Aww, meowth isnt meowth unless its from team rocket. it could have is final smash as meowth's party guitar, or the meowth Mecha- Meowthinater.... the Up- B could be a jet pack... but i gess airial ace is better, wheres he gonna get the jet. I just always thaught of him as the giant robot obsessed cat. he could also have a bazuka that throws a stunning net on them... but w/e its your pic and you have full control im just exited for brawl. Meowth deserves a part more than a lot of people there so far, If Ivysaur can make it, Meowth (and mabey tingle) can.

well, as I believe I stated, the show and the games are really two different entities. Smash Bros. handles the game department, so I sis a regular ol' Meowth.

in the japanese version of Melee, it WAS the Mewtwo from the show. you can hear him talking (in japanese) in some of his victories if you switch the language setting. Also, Meowth's party could work because it was Meowth's Melee trophy.

i had pearl and within a day,it started glitching!I've owned 3 pearls and they all screw up!then,I tried diamond and it worked...I guess pearl just plain sucks!

They also had a Meowth's Party trophy in Melee. Let's not forget the Pichu Bros. event match that was based off that special... Point is I think anime influence isn't a bad idea.
Meowth's B up attack I pictured like this:
Blast Off, Moewth blows himself up, sending him skywards. The explosion is what causes the damage to the opponent, so time it right.
