Batman and al related characters are the property of DC Comics.

Well, after drawing a few of Batman's foes, I decided to draw the Dark Knight himself.

The most obvious inspiration for my character design was the design of Bats from Justice League/Justice League Unlimited. Other inspirations from this character study was the design from The Batman (most notably the cape and "clawed" fingertips on his gloves) and the design of Bats from the Batman: Gotham Knight short, Deadshot (The Bat-symbol).

Regard the spikes of the shoulders of the cape, Scott McDaniel used to do them, Howard Porter did them, Phil Jimenez used to do them, Brian Stelfreeze did them, J Calafiore did them, and Tom Grummett had done them. I liked the effect, so I did them.
