the latest contest --- CHARACTER ANIMATION!!!This contest is linked in with our last one, The Character Design Contest .
Participants will animate the winning character design, Angus McMoo by ~ Hydrart . I'm going to keep the guidelines very broad, since we have so many different levels of skills in the club. Some ideas for animations are:
-Simple Walk Cycle
-Lip Sync
-Expressions
-Reactions
-Simple Actions (drinking a beer?)
Animations can be hand drawn, 3 dimensional, flash, or whatever you feel most comfortable with. Try to keep a level of professionallism with this...

seems everyone is fantabulously busy... we really need to think up some kind of an activity that's fun but doesn't take a lot of work...

Well, the activity of least effort would be looking at stuff.
How about if anyone's stuck on a point of animation, the junior animators could ask questions if any and we could try to answer them.We could answer questions on points of design or animation.
The activities that have been suggested take little time, even if you're busy working fulltime.
I have found that even if a reward is offered,few people participate.
It's a tough thing to motivate people to action.
Anyway, this could be a great little club to network among other animators
or as a learning experience or a source of inspiration or to do something bigger than you'd ever expect to do.
All you have to do is something.

i like the idea of the senoir animators helping out the junior ones.
the pros with the college students, or the college students with the hobbyists, or just students to students.
maybe i'll open up something like that, a little forum for help, tricks, etc.

I'd love to put my hand in on this! As long as the timeframe is longer than a month, because I won't be able to start it for another couple weeks due to school work, I'll be able to throw down.

i'm not posting one right away, since i don't know how long everybody is going to need.
this being the school year too, a lot of people have a fair bit of work (at least a fair bit) to do, so this will probably be going on for some time. but still, get your stuff in as soon as you can
