Description
A tutorial for my Hylian shield mini-backpack . This can also be adapted to other shapes or styles, so get creative with it!This tutorial is free to use, provided you follow my rule: please credit me for this, even if you modify it. Other than that, please enjoy!

This is "ultra firm" heavyweight interfacing, which is indeed a little floppy. If you'd prefer something stiffer, there are a few other things you could try. Some hardware stores carry sheets of plastic that are thin enough to be cut with heavy shears, which would work. You could also try a heavyweight buckram (you'll want hatmaking buckram, not embroidery buckram, which means you'll probably have to order it online- see if you can get it flat, because rolled up heavyweight buckram often retains its curve even after it's cut), or a plastic buckram (which is sometimes called "plastic canvas" and can usually be found in the needlecrafting and embroidery section of most craft stores), but if you're going to use buckram I suggest you cover the edges with grosgrain ribbon, because the edges of cut buckram are sometimes a little pointy and might break through your seams if you leave them uncovered.
I hope that helps! I can probably come up with some other alternatives if neither of those would work for you.

I'm glad you like it. If you really want one, and you have some cash, go ahead and hire someone to make one- I don't like to redo work, but since I don't craft for a living I wouldn't lose any money by someone else making one for you.

Maybe I will make one in black and silver (Dark Link) for me. I'm sure it's better to wear an shield on the back than a red backpack as Dark Link. XD
