Awww... thank you, Lauren! I'm so glad you liked it. Speaking of gradients, I've uploaded a file of my brights to my scraps. You're welcome to it if you want any.

Anj

You're very welcome. When I get home I will update the file to include the ones I've made since uploading the last time.
If you give 'em a try, wonderful, if you don't... okay with that too. *smiles*
I don't want you to feel obligated and the work you do is so different from what I do that bright gradients might not work for you.

Cool, Anj ... thanks hon. I'll check them out later.
Yes, but sometimes a little brightness is called for in some flames, you know ? Sometimes it seems like they demand their own gradient, no matter how you try & change things around.

Oh yeah, I know what you mean - fractals can be wiley little devils... that's for sure!

Thank you, honey.... and most of what I posted today was done earlier this week. I've been very intent on getting caught up on all my dev watches and messages because I know there will be a bunch I don't have time for next week.
Hugs and love,

Awww.. thanks. I am so happy you like my fractals. I don't know what I would do with a print account. I suppose I should check it out. Right now I'm kinda coasting - waiting to see what happens next in my world. Thinking about things in the future is too hard. I'm taking it one day at a time, some days I take it one moment at a time. Having the kids helps because it keeps me from thinking. *smiles*

I read your journal but i didn't know enough about your situation to comment.I had five hard years of fighting cancer so i know what living each day means.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Scott! Any hope of beating it? Are you in remission now?
I lost my older daughter on the 7th of December after a car accident on the 18th of November. We had hope for a while but then the EEG's deteriorated and I had to take her off life-support. She didn't starve and she didn't dehydrate - there wasn't enough time for that. Her lungs filled up and she died peacefully within three days of being weaned off the ventilator.
Hugs,
Anj

I beat it.I'm 6 and a half years clean.I had an experimental radiation and the side effects lasted forever. They inserted radioactive pellets right inside it.Worked great but the skin wouldn't heal.Eventually it all worked out.Its a good thing i had done back then.I'd never get through an airport screening with radioactivity emissions.I'm very sorry to hear of daughter. Its a tough thing to come to terms with at the best of times and now must be a very difficult time to cope. When i was looking like i wasn't going to make it,i told my family and friends to remember all of the good things that we shared and not to dwell on the now. Those great memories can never be taken away.

I am sooooooooooo glad you beat it! HOORAY HOORAY!
Losing a child is a heartache I wish no one else ever had to experience. It's like every grief I've ever had in the past - parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, in-laws - all rolled into one and then doubled. So, I go from moment to moment at times. Other times I'm all right. According to the grief counselor, partly this is because it's still only in my head - it hasn't reached my heart yet.
Thanks for the reply and talking to me!
Hugs,
Anj

Awww... thank you.
If you're interested in fractals there's several programs to choose from. I happen to use Apophysis, which is a free program. It has several incarnations - and you have to download the base before you can use the newer versions. There's also a lot of tutorials out there for the beginner as well as intermediate and advance users. It's such a versatile program! Also, there are a lot of resources out there for Apo and they are all free.
There are other programs out there that folks here use. I can't turn you on to those, but if you watch fractals, you'll see some that are really different. Most of those were done with other programs. I know there is Mind Blowing Fractals, and it is one available on dA, then there is Ultra Fractal, but I think that's a purchase one and I wouldn't buy one, myself, just to find out if I liked working with fractals. Then there's Chaoscope, and it is another freebie.
Good luck and have fun if you decide to give it a whirl!
