I am happy to tell you that I have now opened free requests for Journal Skins (CSS)!------------------------------------------------
I have created this template to help deviants who are requesting journal skins. It explains in much detail many of the features you can chose to have or not to have and many other things you can or are suggested to specify. Please take a close look at this template before making your journal CSS request. Remember, you have to have a deviantART subscription to use journal skins!
When requesting, you can also chose to design and send me a version of your own template. This is just here so people already have one to work from. (:

is there a way to edit the layout so we can put our own pictures on there, like a journal background, a cool pattern, and a picture header?????

man and this was exactly the type of journal I was looking to make. I hate to ask but i'm really into trying to understand DA css and im a tad bit confused on how to make something like this above. Would you have any tutorials or other templates that you know of that could help me learn?

Sorry for the late reply dear! I'm not too sure what types of tutorials would help you best, personally when I learnt CSS the tutorials all just had too much jargon in it for me to fully understand. I learnt how to code mainly by experimentation over the years.
Having said that, there are some newer tutorials I've seen that seem like they could help you to understand some of the concepts. Maybe have a look at some of the CSS groups around like #CSS-Babes , they have collections of tutorials you might be able to visit.
