Description !!!PLEASE READ!!!
I'm not using blender anymore and so my memory about how it works is... well... pretty much erased
Before asking a question it might be good to look through the comments~ Maybe your question has already been asked&answered?
Any questions that couldn't be answered with this tutorial I'm probably also not capable of answering so you might want to look for other tutorials first~
READ:
I use Blender 2.48 a for this (If you haven't read in the picture) so if you're using a NEWER or OLDER version, some things might be different and I won't be able to help you too well since I stopped using blender :')
So if you can't do certain things like they're described here, try 2.48 a~

In that case you have to adjust the size (look at the second pmd editor picture) and enter 0.5 / 0,5 at Si (can't recall which one was the correct one...) and it should be smaller

Thank you so much! I've been struggling with this for the past two days, finding dead end after dead end and I was so frustrated. Just when I was about to give up, I found this tutorial and thought why not, 1 more time. I was so happy when it worked. Thanks again!

when i clicked on the .x file to do a full import in pmd editor, it said import fail, does this mean the model will not work? D:

ok i just read closer where you said if it wasnt colored all the way it would be an error on pmde, i think it had color but it might have been missing some? :0

I discovered you can also export from milkshape. But use directx JT not directx 8.0. (8.0 didn't work when I tried that)/...

Sorry for the extremly late reply x-x I had a bunch of exams to write
Well as explained in the tutorial you should be able to find out if the textures will work on the character <.<
As for how... Are they in the same folder as the model? They should then simply show up when you export it into the pmd editor.
And sometimes dds files mess up things so if that's the case try turning those into png files and some stuff (like some hairtextures) should be displayed more normally...
If the model is grey instead of colored if you did what was in the tutorial... Well... Than I really don't know how to get the textures on Γ³nΓ²
I'm not using blender anymore only the pmx/pmd editor so that's as far as my little memory serves x-x
Surely there are also some helpful tutorials out there

.x files are accessory files, not .pmd. Β You'll have to convert them to .pmdΒ

The size of the obj always depends as far as I remember ^^
When you export it as an x file and you open it in the pmd editor on the right side of the import window of pmde will be a number "1.0" and you can change the size by putting (for example) a "0.5" inside.

The circled stuff is for the size.Β  Should be just the same with the english pmd editor

But is it supposed to be like, REALLY huge on Blender? The model's feet aren't even on the axis (It's really huge) So how can I change it's size on Blender?

Well... I only know how to change a size with the pmd editor but not with blender... Maybe there's a tutorial for that?
And I remember that I had some models who also were rather large so it probably depends, I guess?

Uhm... What are you talking about?
It's just a tutorial picture for people who want to export things from blender to the pmd editor ._.
I have nothing to do with what google displays and what it doesn't... But probably it took one of the sentences in the comments for searching (some people asked me how to convert from PMD to OBJ which I do not know)
And if you read correctly, the title says "OBJ TO PMD" and not the other way around^^
So please blame google for showing up wrong information~

At first I thought it was because the Β texture file names were too long (CHR_Deadpool_Body_TEXTSET_Color_NormX.tga) , so I changed to something like body.bmp . Β 
But the model is still completely white. Any idea why it may be like that?

Hmm...
It should work as far as I remember...
Did you rename the filename in the editor as well?
Although maybe you should try exporting the tga to a png file (because those file types sometimes use transparent stuff and that turns white when exporting to bmp... or something like that xx; )

Well... My tutorial only works for the 2.48a version of blender.. Try using that version and it should work ^^

maybe you need to rename the texture files to something shorter? (when the names are too long, the pmd editor will cut off the name, like "tex/hairpincolored.tga" --> "tex/hairpincolore") You can see if that's the cause in the MA tab of the editor.

It automatically names itself and I turned on the toon shading to show you the outline. Not sure what I did wrong, even when I give the material name the texture won't show up

Ah!
Try using gimp (or another programm that can export files into other files) and turn the tga file into a png/bmp file.
The english pmd editor has the problem that he won't show up tga files, if I remember correctly..

Which version do you use?
If you're using 2.48a it should actually work..
But I'm not using blender anymore, so otherwise I don't know what to do x.x;
