Description !!!PLEASE READ!!!
I'm not using blender anymore and so my memory about how it works is... well... pretty much erased
Before asking a question it might be good to look through the comments~ Maybe your question has already been asked&answered?
Any questions that couldn't be answered with this tutorial I'm probably also not capable of answering so you might want to look for other tutorials first~
READ:
I use Blender 2.48 a for this (If you haven't read in the picture) so if you're using a NEWER or OLDER version, some things might be different and I won't be able to help you too well since I stopped using blender :')
So if you can't do certain things like they're described here, try 2.48 a~
You can download blender here:

Well... Maybe the textures names were too long?
That's one of the problems I don't really know how to fix otherwise x.x

I already renamed the textures and modified it on pmd. This picture results of that change.

Im only able to app ply texture to a small part of it. How do I apply it to the whole model?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AnjuSendo In reply to Carbuncle776 [2012-12-31 10:47:40 +0000 UTC]

Uhm...
I don't know Γ³wΓ²
Rename all the M1-M... to the texture you want them to be, I guess?

Carbuncle776 In reply to AnjuSendo [2013-01-02 10:34:23 +0000 UTC]

Because I open the obj in Blender I can see the model all in gray scale.
All the textures to that model are labeled texture000 - texture007.
When i first import the model shes all highlighted in dark orange. I right click when shes light orange and only a part of her body is highlighted. Then I go to texture paint and that part of her gets the texture. But the rest stays grey. Is their a way to apply it save it and keep on adding till shes all colored? Or am I missing a step? Please PM me this seems so easy but i dont know what im doing wrong. Ill send you the model maybe you can see whats up with it?

AnjuSendo In reply to Carbuncle776 [2013-01-02 11:03:25 +0000 UTC]

So a part stays grey?
Hmm...
You could save it as a 3d file first, than import it to blender as the 3d file again and than save it as the x file <.<
But than you probably have to name all the textures so that they fit :')
I don't use blender anymore so I hope this will help you with your problem >.<
But the pmd editor should be able to open her this way <.<

When I go to export there is no X file option. ;_;

Hm, that's strange Γ³wΓ² I'm sorry, I can't help you since I didn't have that problem ;w;

McCreeCat In reply to AnjuSendo [2013-01-01 07:55:44 +0000 UTC]

Oh it's fine, I realized that the later versions of the program don't work. I'm just having issues with the colour now. :/

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AnjuSendo In reply to McCreeCat [2013-01-01 11:19:41 +0000 UTC]

Ah! So the model appears in grey, when you load it?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

McCreeCat In reply to AnjuSendo [2013-01-01 11:32:11 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I do the texture paint, it remains grey, and it doesn't change. I put it into PMD editor, and it's all white.

AnjuSendo In reply to McCreeCat [2013-01-01 12:52:05 +0000 UTC]

Hmm... I don't know how to fix that problem v.v
I had it once, too. But I don't really know how I fixed it T.T

McCreeCat In reply to AnjuSendo [2013-01-01 13:23:44 +0000 UTC]

;_; Okay, I will just have to try to figure it out. It's so hard though.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AnjuSendo In reply to McCreeCat [2013-01-01 14:16:44 +0000 UTC]

Maybe you can retry and look if it has colors <.<
If not, export first as a 3d data and import again and than save as an x file

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

McCreeCat In reply to AnjuSendo [2013-01-01 14:39:27 +0000 UTC]

It has colours I know, they are just all TGA files, I don't know if that would affect the colour though.
Hmm, alright, I'll go try that.

AnjuSendo In reply to McCreeCat [2013-01-01 15:37:04 +0000 UTC]

Hmm.. You could open the tga files with gimp and rename them to bmp <.<
You're using the english pmd editor, I assume?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

McCreeCat In reply to AnjuSendo [2013-01-01 15:43:46 +0000 UTC]

I have Photoshop, you think that might help?
Yeah, I sure am.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AnjuSendo In reply to McCreeCat [2013-01-01 15:49:50 +0000 UTC]

It should be able to open tga files, I think^^
Hmm.. I think the normal pmd editor can't "read" the tga files, but if that still doesn't help than maybe the textures name's too long. That's all I know about such issues T.T

McCreeCat In reply to AnjuSendo [2013-01-01 16:05:53 +0000 UTC]
