Not much creativity has been happening this year on my end, until in August I piggy-backed on a crochet-along Mastodon-friends of mine started. The technique here, mosaic crochet, is surprisingly simple considering the results.

The colour choices are all mine; the pattern used was www.ravelry.com/patterns/libra… (though the blue part has some of my own; since I used thinner yarn than recommended, I had to add more rows to get a usable size)
