It's funny isn't it? If the USA government, and similar rulers of land adopted the type of system Norway and some others had, then maybe even our own general society in the USA would act more rational, prefer vigilante "justice" less, and realize that everyone (including sex offenders and murderers and both) is just as important as everyone else. They would probably even know that the morality of protection applies to every single person in the world without delusion, aka, no hypocrisy on morality. Also, the way Norway handles criminals, even the worst type of offenders likely has been proven to lower crime many times, and yet many of the USA and certain other countries generally refuse to take it likely in favor of their obsession with traditional "justice" including the delusion that certain victims should get some form of revenge.

There are some good movements trying to get rid of traditional punishment though I think. Here's hoping to completely abolish all dark age systems, including fear-based stigmatization systems (e.g. sex offender registries for those who already been rehabilitated).

Here's hoping the remaining pieces that came from the dark ages become completely abolished.
