Alphys's role it's exactly the same except that instead of being a scientist, she is leader of the Stand Research Group, a group dedicated to find a way to create a stand strong enough that the barrier could be destroyed

She used to be second in charge but then the incident on the previous doctor happened she tried to take the project on her own, it took some months but after surprising Asgore with her soul manipulation discoveries that she used to create Mettaton she was put in charge of the operation.
Trying to use an ancient ritual that the previous doctor was studying, she discovered a way to make a stand even stronger, a way to make them even stronger than a requiem stand, she called this project "heaven ascension"
She had to do tests on actual monsters so she asked for volunteers, monsters that would first receive a stand and then be experimented on so that their stand could ascend.
Heaven ascension seemed to be something only humans could do, their "determination" being a key part of the process, so she extracted determination from the human souls Asgore had and tried to inject into the monsters... We already know how that story ends.
Afer everything went wrong, Alphys started feeling real bad about everything, thinking everyone would hate her for what she had done, even she started to hate herself, she decided to never talk about this with anyone, this made her mind have some, let's say, darker thoughts about her life.

Other facts of her life:
She's a long time friend of Undyne and has a massive crush on her
She's had her stand since she was a kid, her parents were stand users and she inherited her's
Knows sans, they both seem to not want to talk about why

Neutral/Pacifist Route:
Frisk and Papyrus are traveling together when they find her in hotlands, in there they have the same conversation as in the game, Mettaton interaction and all, she gives Frisk a phone and starts guiding them in Hotlands, sometimes Frisk doubts about Alphys's guidance but Papyrus always reassures them everything is fine cause Alphys is the smartest person in the underground.
Alphys still tries to act as a hero for Frisk, constantly making very awkward moments until Mettaton betrays her, she will tell Frisk the truth that the only way to get out of the barrier is for a human and a monster soul to be in the same body, that Frisk will have to kill Asgore if they wants to escape, after wich they take refugee on their lab.
To reach a pacifist ending Frisk will give Alphys Undyne's letter, when she opens the door to see who send it, they think Papyrus wrote it and Papyrus is so confused that he can't even say a word to deny it, Alphys thinks about how Papyrus always trusted her in their journey so she decides to ry and date him, when she goes to get her dress, Frisk tells Papyrus to just roll with it until they can think about something, and so the date of Papyrus and Alphys starts, it will go mostly the same except Papyrus is in Frisk's place, Papyrus doesn't want to break Alphys's heart so they try to make it work but it's all really awkward, once Papyrus notices Alphys's true feelings to Undyne he tells her to be honest with herself and to tell everything to Undyne, Undyne eventually shows up and it ends the same, with Undyne and Alphys together, the date ends with Papyrus saying "WOWIE, SINCE I MET YOU I'VE HAD 2 DATES, THAT'S THE MOST DATES I'VE HAD IN MY LIFE!! AND BOTH OF THEM ENDED WITH ME SENDING THEM TO THE FRIEND ZONE... WHO KNEW ALL I NEEDED TO MAKE MORE FRIENDS IS TO DATE THEM?!"
After this she will go again to her lab, Undyne will ask Frisk to check her up cause she's busy at the moment so Frisk and Papyrus go to do exactly that.
The events in the true lab are the same but Papyrus is there, he makes it easier to get through the amalgamates, even if he's afraid the whole way through.

Genocide Route:
The human will never encounter Alphys directly, she will guide monsters to a safe place and they will keep and eye on the human's movements from afar.
She will tell Mettaton about his NEO mode but tells him about the danger of that form.

Her Stand is called Mew Mew Cams (Her theme in Undertale is just called "Alphys" so her stand needed a different namesake, what better than her favorite anime?)
Mew Mew Cams takes the form of 10 robotic cat heads numbered from 1 to 11, head number 2 doesn't exist.
The stand allows Alphys to see and hear things without having to be therE as she just needs to send her stand, the stand can also become invisible even to other stand users and it can go through walls, the only way to know it is there is because of the occasional cat noises it makes.
It seems to have an immense range, but Alphys has never been able to cross the door the ruins to see what's there, it seems to have the same kind of magic as the barrier, neglecting an stand ability.
Alphys used to use this stand to spy on other people's lives, her most obscure hobby, when a human is in the Underground she uses it to track their movements.
The stand cannot fight.
