Looks like an illustration for Golovachev's "Cemetery of the Djinn".
Great picture!

Great painting!! I love that the spaceship has the classic tail-lander configuration. Dart-shaped ship resting on her tail on some mysterious planet, right next to strange tall structures and a massive cliff- it really makes you wonder what exactly the astronauts must be thinking. I suppose they have been in flight so long the planet they are landing on has been long since colonized- so long ago, in fact, that the descendants of the colonists may have evolved into a new species.

Ok, this is one of the best paintings I've already seen... It seems misteryous, hiding secrets that had been forgotten for centuries... It's a perfect place for a book, a movie or a RPG game. It just makes me feel stunned.

I am in awe of the skills. I try to draw landscapes and backgrounds, but I lack certain skills which ye possess, an so, like the Borg, perhaps I can assimilate your likeness into the collective and add your distinctness (or some details or ideas as you here show) into our own....

I wasn't quite sure to make of this after your description, at first...
I would be amazed that such a large infrastructure (a highway, I guess) would still be around, and that's before I noticed the lights still seem to be working. Which is possibly even more incredible.
Which is why I had just assumed you must have meant something else by saying, they were "a couple of Million years late".
