I've been doing a lot of work recently that I can't show (which is always a downer) and a lot of other work cramming to finish off a major project which is eating in to my art time!This is a concept image illustrating an area with such enormous vegetation that you can actually walk under the roots of larger trees. I always loved the look of "A Bugs life" when they turned mere blades of grass into glowing cathedral-like ceilings and the like; I've just made the foliage larger rather than the characters smaller.

my x wife has been really been troubling me today. I have the kids (custody)and she is messing with their brain and trying to turn them against me. Its saddened me so much. there only 9 and 10
I saw this picture and my heart felt so much better. it made me think I will get through this
My kids love will always be there.

The texture of the foliage doesn't really look right, and the rays of light look so unnatural. >.< If there wasn't the light in the foreground, it would probably lookso much better.

I'm lovin' the emerald color scheme...nice choice for this scene...and the bits of red/orange thrown in are a nice touch. The brushstrokes give it that earthy feel, I think...nice water--looks alive and sparkling. Lighting is excellent...good job playing with perspective. I'd love to live in a place like that...like a lower-to-the-ground LothlΓ³rien or something...
