Happy 4th of July my fellow Americans!
And to everyone who isn’t American, Happy Thursday!

It was the 4th of July and I was feeling creative, so I got the idea to make this.

I recently watched The Secret of NIMH again, which I haven’t seen in a long time. I loved it! It is a great movie with well written characters, like Mrs. Brisby (the character in the animation above). If you haven’t seen it, I really suggest you go and watch it! I found the whole movie on this one website and I would now like to try and get the movie on DVD or VHS.

I’ve been doing character studies of Mrs. Brisby so I can understand how to draw her. She has been very fun to draw, so expect more of her in the future!

I’d also like to note that this my first animated gif, and I think it turned out alright! I completely forgot to animate the eyes closing and opening and by the time I remembered it was too late. Oh well, hopefully next time I’ll remember.
