I've been trying stuff like this for a while, the most bizarre being when I attatched four pairs of underwater goggles, all different colours to my camera... that was a bit of a failure.

Not really, they couldn't find the goggles later and found it more bizarre than anything when they saw them hanging loosely around the tripod. My family thinks I was switched at birth...

I shoot with a non-DSLR, so what I did was gather different pieces of glass and instruments that had glass in them and glued them together so that I had many reflections. Then I just attached it to my camera and took photos. Not so difficult, but quite dangerous, I cut myself by accident a few times.

I think so, but you should be very careful, it is very easy to scratch the lens.
