Description
When I was a kid I had a friend who pronounced its name as "soo-swine" which remains the weirdest derivation I've ever heard.Related content

...shit man, did we have the same friend? "soo-sween" was the one i remember. like, people always wanted its name to sound all "mystical" lmao
very nice. love the texture on its fur.

Unless at one point you lived in California then probably not, although it would be cool if we independently shared people in both our online and real life social circles!

When I was a kid it was always "soo-i-sune". Like suicide. I don't even think we knew what suicide meant, so I have to wonder where we picked it up from.
Anyway, I love how this looks more beast-like than most depictions (which tend to just turn it into some kind of wolf).

Thanks, that was definitely my intention! I tried to not base it off of one animal completely, so I ended up drawing from a tiger, wolf and caribou (and maybe Fabio for that hair)

Pokemon Crystal being the 2nd generation game I played, this image makes me nostalgic. I enjoy how 3D this looks with the blurry effects in the foreground and the sharp middle. The sun's reflection on the water surface and suicune's crown is well done, too.
I still keep pronouncing this pokemon's name like "su-ee-coon". xD Instead of "sui-coon". I use 3 syllables.
