because I hate when people spew garbage like "The Bible says this" or "The Bible says that" when they have clearly never actually read the damn thing. This is usually used as an argument against things like gay marriage, abortion, etc. Hey, quoting the Bible is not a valid argument. Because not everyone is Christian. And thus not everyone should be forced to play by their rules.Related content

This is like someone reading a history book and only seeing one person using slavery when back then it was a common place to do that, and just throws away the rest of the book thinking that history is garbage. Just as someone who looks at a verse then takes it out of context and thinks the whole book is vial and throws it away. Read the book atheists then you can say you dont like it when you have the facts about it. Well said man. Β

I've read this a good five times now. And I am sincerely confused as to what point you're trying to make. The first sentence is a run-on that doesn't mean anything. And the second one is a hypocritical cheap shot.
And for the record, this deviation's exact language can be used on both sides of the theology argument, so it's not a smack against either side, and it was submitted BEFORE dA completely exploded into its current pony-obsessed state.

I'll admit that is is a bestseller. What I meant to say was, people with use the Bible as an argument for their delusions without actually reading what it says. Like people will quote Leviticus 18 I think as an argument against gay people. Which, being the opinion of faith, kinda automatically disqualifies it as an argument against the actions and lives of other people. But then they ignore the fact that the very same Chapter of the Bible says shaving, eating pork and shrimp are also wrong. And it seems most hateful argument derive from some chapter of the old testament, which, if I remember correctly, Jesus specifically said he came to undo. Just kinda seems odd to me. And infuriating at times.
