So I'm going back and finishing stuff I startedThis was originally going to be a baby dinosaur.. then a lizard/gecko.. then it looked too boring so I added a shell and voila.. we have turtle

Oh my gosh, what a cute turtle! I love how it went through so many transitions before becoming a turtle. xD
I hope you can get over your block. (I know I'm commenting super late, but if you're still having a bit of a block, I hope you can conquer it! I can't wait to see what else you do with your Link amigurumi!)
I find clothing to be a pain without a pattern, personally. ;-; I am trying to crochet more clothing, but it's definitely not easy! So I agree with you there.

...That is why we amigurumi artists stick to easy "gauges" lol. Too big? No prob! Down a hook size! My aunt commissioned me for a few hats and I freaked out lol...

I know right??Β I once tried to make a beanie for my cousin and it turned out to be infant-sized >_<Β I'm such a failure at clothing.. haha
