In case you can't read my messy handwriting it says:

Darkstalker: I'm ALIVE. In case you were worried."
Arctic: hmm...can't say I was.

Darkstalker: Did you know the dragon who attacked me?
Arctic: I've seen him around court but have never spoken to him. I'm not interested in knowing every common Nightwing in the tribe.

Darkstalker: thinking to himself: hmm...how can I make him confess?

Darkstalker: Why do you think he tried to kill me?

Arctic: Umm...because you're an arrogant fool.

Arctic: Because you flaunt your magic and don't care who you offend?
Because you insulted his mother?
Cheated on his test?

Arctic: Or manipulated his brain for your twisted, selfish ambitions?
Or read his mind when you weren't supposed to?
Or because you use words out of context and have no idea what you're talking about? (<---This is my own rant about Darkstalker's use of the word 'bigot' out of context, therefore using a word incorrectly towards 3 "bullies" who got after Whiteout for wrecking their game)

Arctic: Cause you think you're the greatest thing since sliced scavenger?
Cause you walk around like you own the place?
Cause you're a spoiled brat?
An especially powerful, INVINCIBLE spoiled brat?
I could name a million possibilities!
Should I continue?

The look on Darkstalker's face: Kill me.

This is probably my favourite scene in Darkstalker. When Darkstalker is trying to figure out if his father, Arctic was the one who sent Quickdeath to try and kill him. I think Arctic is my favourite character in Darkstalker because he's basically my dad in dragon form. He will go on his bipolar rants and is very blunt in everything he says when he really gets going. He's also kind of awkward within the family and lashes and takes his anger out on mom a lot. Watching Foeslayer and Arctic interact within this story, as sad as it is, was very familiar to me. It was like watching my parents. Dad lashing out at mom, mom defending herself. When Foeslayer took the earing off and flew away, it looked like a scene from my own life, mom trying to hide from an angry dad by retreating to her room. My 3 sisters all do the same. When I lived there, we would run to our rooms if dad was in a bad mood. Despite family issues, and unlike Darkstalker, I really love my dad. Like Arctic, he really does secretly care about the family. Arctic, despite hating Darkstalker, never attempted to kill "his own son." Arctic, who was attracted to Foeslayer because she was "fun" is like my dad, who can't sit still and do one thing for very long. He's like my dad, who is constantly seeking escape from the mundane of life. And like Arctic, even though he fights a lot with his wife, he still cares about her. He still makes sacrifices for her. Maybe he'll rarely show it on the outside, and maybe he runs around yelling a lot, but words don't bounce off of him. Like Arctic, dad gets angry first before looking at the situation. Arctic, blowing up at Darkstalker and Clearsight while finding out that Darkstalker is an animus. Yet, is taken aback at Clearsight's "prophecy." He walks away thinking and reflecting to himself. My dad will blow up, but he's not completely unreasonable. At first glance he is, but if you throw something at him, he will walk away thinking about it and reflecting.

Arctic is my favourite character because he is almost exactly like my dad. Which is why I hate Darkstalker even more for killing him. Arctic may have been selfish and was a traitor, but at least he admitted he would never kill his "own son." Darkstalker on the other hand, had no problem killing his father.

I also find this scene rather hilarious. Darkstalker totally got burned, and I thought he rather deserved it. Arctic may know about his "holes" within himself, but at least he's afraid of what they could mean. That is to say that Arctic still CARES about his soul. Darkstalker doesn't seem to care how evil he gets in the end, whereas Arctic, though definitely FAR from flawless, tries to hold back and save his soul so that others won't suffer from his animus insanity if that ever were to happen.

I hate Darkstalker.

Anyway, I added some words that weren't in the book. I added kind of my own rant about Darkstalker into Arctic's words, to add more drama.

And I know it was probably dark outside when this was happening but I thought Icewings would look cooler in daylight so that's how I drew it. I didn't want to draw a terribly dark scene.

This is pretty much how I imagined the scene. My dad throws his hands up in the air and moves them a lot when he goes on a rant, so that's what I imagined Arctic to be doing.
