Description This is for those who don't want the stiffness of reeds or other types of boning. This type of 'boning' still holds you in and supports. This my not be the best choice for big busted ladies or those who have a bit more than average padding on them.
I'm 5'6 and 145 so i'm fairly average and this works very well for me. The front doesn't necessarily need a busk but I will likely add one.

Materials

That I already had.
-threading tool
-sewing machine
-thread
-scrap fabric to use as bias tape.
-eyelet setter
-awl

Bought
-1 yard cotton fabric - $0.50 from a yard sale ( I still have more left)
-Cotton twisted cord- $3 from the hardware store. ( I live more than 10 miles from the closest fabric store so I don't go too often)
-eyelets- around $3 ( i actually already had these but most dont)

So total around $6.50

If you want to go really period just make the holes and do a button hole stitch around it. I'll do a tutorial about that later though.

Any comments, questions, critiques or concerns are very welcome and I will try to respond as quickly as I am able.

And before I forget the pattern was made using the custom elizabethan corset pattern found here [link]
