very helpful, and even just getting the satin look instead of plastic/vinyl is a big help lol. do you know if this method will work in the newer version of DAZ?

i don't know, i haven't tried it there, but I'm guessing it will!
I'm working on a good silk/satin look, so at some pint there will be a tutorial for that too!

You can put the noise jpg into the strength slider of glossiness and use a colorful map in the color slider to generate multicolor sparkles.

Very nice tutorial. You can get some neat effects if you put something like the noise into your Ambient channel as well.
