Description
The rungs of this ladder say "American" on them, but viewed from below it's backwards. NOTE: Face was dodged with Photoshop... I normally wait to do little edits like that in the darkroom but I was impatient.Related content

Well, look at that catchy title. I like this one too. You have more contrast with the shirt and the sky. More space at the top might have made it look like he was actually going somewhere...as it is now, he looks a little trapped. maybe America does that to a person.

I didn't take this picture (I am the model) but thanks for the suggestion... it was kinda weird because it was a ladder going up to a slide and the photographer was under the slide... I'm not sure if it would be possible to make more room at the top... but, I'm sure I'll go back to that park again and try a different angle... thanks for the comment, I'm glad you like it!
ps... yeah, america can be a pretty restricted environment... but I guess it's the land of the free, eh? Are you from the US?

I knew he looked familiar... I thought he might have been your brother or something. Hmmm, a little problematic with the slide being in the way. I still like it.
I'm kinda from the US. I live here now, but I have lived most of my life in England. My whole family is European.

Are you going to school here? Why did you move? I have a lot of family in France and Switzerland... cousins, uncles, that sort of thing.

Europe may be the only viable place too live given the way things are going. I am thinking about studying abroad for a year while in college... Switzerland or Spain maybe... it's always been in the back of my mind to move to Europe, but right now I've got my eyes on Canada.

Haha, sadly you may be right. I am studying abroad. I do not care what anyone says I am going to Italy in Jan. to talk pictues, so that should be really interesting. Now, why Canada? I have only ever been in the airports there so I have no idea about the actual country.

Good for you, Itally will be fun, a great place to take pictures, I bet. Good luck!
Canadians have a very different attitude than Americans... maybe not better, but it fits my personality more. And I love the city of Vanouver, I go up there every year and can't wait to go back, so living there for four years will be amazing. Canada is just more socialy/environmentally minded than America, in my opinion... they're a lot like many European countries in that they take care of one another and have strong social service programs unlike here were it's pretty much "pull yourself up by your bootstraps." it makes more sense to me, so I'm going to at least give it a try.

So wait. Are you going to school in Canada or do you just want to live there for a while? If you go up there I want to see all of the beautiful pictures you take! Heck, I might even come visit! Haha...I hear it is pretty cold so maybe I will just stick with Italy.

I'm going to a university for four years. It's not that cold, it's pretty mild with the jet-steam "pineapple belt" or whatever it's called, it doesn't get too cold in the winter or too hot in the summer. .. at least in Vanouver, other parts of Canada are really cold.... snow all the time, I wouldn't like that. I think everyone should at least visit Canada, it's a very cool place... at least British Columbia is, which is the only province I've ever been to. Itally is probably cooler than Canada, but it's a lot farther away. .. and you have to speak Itallian. Good luck with that
