I based the idea on the Great Horned Owl, but I haven't figured out how to anthromorphasize them beyond a few sentences worth of description.

If you want a suggestion? When I want to anthropomorphize an animal species I start absorbing their natural history. Just find a book/site on them and start reading. Usually the facts get my brain flowing. Then there are stories and native legends. I've found a little research goes a long way. For instance did you know that the Hopi concidered the great horned owl to be a Prowl like figure? Β www.native-languages.org/legenβ¦
