Description
LOOKING FOR FEEDBACK!This is the basic hallway. There will be more then just the hallway in the end (it is actually the less important part), but the setting of the mood at this part is important, so details details details.
ToDo for this portion:
-Increase the ambient lighting a bit
-Add Flags above the pillars
-Add Flowers above the pillars
-Expand the windows a bit (probably make them taller).
-Finish the ceiling on the wall sides (you can see the hole to the sky in the upper left)
-Attempt to find some stained glass textures to use for alternating windows (this will be difficult >.<)

all my brain can see is that the lights on the floor don't have the bars across like the windows have... and how come the lights aren't all the same length when the windows all are the same size... i don't know if the windows should have stained glass with art in them, but that is how i remember the castles in mlp

The textures on the bars of the windows I believe are set to translucent atm, meaning light will ignore them. I am going to change that. The lighting in the picture is from a lamp outside the window, so closer proximity makes the shadows bow a bit. I prefer to keep that kind of light out of the map file itself and rendered in SFM to maintain flexibility and volumetrics.
The stained glass was every other window in the show. I plan to do the same, though it will make lighting more interesting...

I am learning as I go. 4 days ago I didn't know how to even make a cube in Hammer. Quick learner. >_>

if you're looking to recreate Canterlot Tower I think the carpet needs to be 1 tile wider on each side. 3 tiles from pillar to edge would make the space feel less empty and feel warmer imo(I just look at marble and it feels cold or barren to me).

I was thinking about doing that as well. There will be some stuff in between the carpet and pillars, but because the carpet is a real easy fix, am not too worried for the moment.
