Here's the new design. Not sure how to feel about it. The Leotard was pretty integral to her design for me. Like Ruby's hood or Weiss' bolero, so them ditching it is bugging me. With the midrift and the puffy sleeves, it looks more like something Yang would wear.ΒRelated content

I'll christen it as the Blaked ALASKA outfit, because it is undeniably a couples' design with Yang.

I like Neo's new look. It's a shame we saw so little of her in this volume, but I knew to expect it. Her and Cinder's part of the story is happening a couple of weeks after the good guys left Mistral, after all. I don't really mind - I think this volume was pretty good. Certainly the best since volume three for sure.
I still fully expect Neo to backstab Cinder when she gets the chance, though. I very much doubt either one of them really trusts the other, and why would they?

Toatally the best since V3. Although, the ending was a bit lacking for me. The way they've depicted Grimm over the course of the show, they're not really threatening. I'm never worried about a main character dying to a Grimm. So when a grimm is the final boss of the season, like in V4 and 6, it kills the tension for me.Β
I'm looking forward to Atlas though. A dark, snow covered future city with Gothic architecture is a very cool setting so maybe it'll be good.Β

True, the Grimm are never a match for the main characters. I think Torchwick is still the only character who was killed by a Grimm on-screen, and he was caught off-guard. Oh wait, there's also that Dee guy from the first episode of volume six, but we didn't actually see him die, everyone simply assumed he was killed. But yeah, I see your point.
I'm sure Atlas will be fun. Hopefully Weiss's dad won't cause too much trouble for the good guys, assuming he even cares about Weiss anymore. We'll probably get to meet the Winter Maiden and see a huge battle between the heroes and Cinder and Neo and/or Salem and her army of flying monkeys.

Dunno why, but her outfit gives an Alice in Wonderland feeling. A bit of a stretch but she feels like either the Mad Hatter or the White Rabbit.

They planned on traveling to a snowy country and none of them packed warmer clothes when they left? It was snowy when Ruby left home and she didn't plan on being cold? But then it's redundant when it seems like Weiss is the only one who can actually feel cold. None of the others even mention it.Β
