And here is my second illustration for the FMA Big Bang story Symptoms of Mercy: Deliver Me by It is on her Livejournal page right now - I encourage you to go and read it!You have to read this story... It's great angst and really well written the way angst usually isn't. I had the BEST time drawing this. I know, I am a sick puppy.

*gulp* EeeK! Yes ma'am! If I can find her, that is! I was so disappointed that she didn't go further with this - it's wonderfully angsty and I had hoped my art would be at least good enough to inspire her. *sigh* Sadly, not so much.

No, I don't know if the author ever finished it. I haven't heard anything from her since the end of the big bang. It's a shame - I put a lot into the pictures and the story really deserves to be finished.

Oh, I LOVE drawing the angsty stuff - they've called me 'The Angst Maven' for years because of it - and Edward is an exceptional angst supplier. Hehehehe.

I would LOVE to... But I haven't heard a peep from this author since last year's BB. I hate to bug people - I'm one to talk about being late on updates - but I agree, I'd LOVE to see where she's going with this and to draw some more scenes from it!

The expressions are my favorite part. It always amazes me how, in anime or manga, so much emotion can go into a few well placed lines. I guess I focus on that aspect.

Yeah, she kind of ran him through the meat grinder in this story... perfect for the Angst Maven (me) but not so great for poor Ed. LOL!

Yes, it's Ed. In the fic this illustrates, his captors have cut off much of his hair unevenly so it's not the characteristic sweep and ponytail. It is amazing how much of his character is described by that hair! LOL!
It's a great fic, but not for the faint of heart. Definitely high grade angst.

It's definitely hard core angst, but well written. If you aren't good at handling such things, I'd not recommend it. I've been known as The Angst Maven for longer than I care to admit because I can handle angst levels that might kill normal humans. I just have to remember that not everyone is as twisted as I am.

erm so yeah...I must be honest, I think some parts in the first chapter were a bit to 'vivid' for me (such as the part with Edward's eye being taken...I sort of got some bile in the back of my throat for that X__X) but otherwise it is pretty much all good. Like you said, it is super hard core angst, but if it doesn't get to graphic after this, I think I shall be fine...
This is very well written, I shall have to tell the writer that.

I should have thought of this last night, I guess it was so late, but your post made me realize I probably should have put up a warning before that LJ cut. Some poor, unsuspecting person, after seeing my last picture, might open that thing unawares! Eeeek! I mean. they know it's me, but it still might be a good idea.

You know what this looks like? Obviously you wrote it for another fanfiction but it looks like it could be a missing or flashback scene from "Bury It Forward" by Kawasaki Triple, which is the best FMA story I've ever read- [link]
