Let's see how long this one can stay up... *rolleyes*I've been working on this for a while and I'm pretty happy with the way it came out. It's supposed to be an image from the events after the collapse of the Fifth Laboratory while they are trying to get Ed to the hospital. Though Denny Brosh carries him away from the building, I can't see Al not wanting to take his wounded brother, even if just while they are waiting for the ambulance.
I apologize for the watermark. Personally, I dislike them and think they ruin an image, but I have learned they may be a necessary evil when posting on a site like this.

I gotta hand it to you, you are one talented young lady! You have inspired me! And I personally have the same views when it comes to scenes like this! It gives a feel of a character's struggles and the bonds between the characters as well! I don't think you are a creep for being a sucker for these types of scenes! But really, this is just amazing! I wonder, did you draw this online or using pencil and paper?

This one started as a pen and ink sketch that was then digitized using Adobe Illustrator. After that, I cleaned up the lines in Illustrator and exported them to Adobe Photoshop, where I finished filling in the colors. Unfortunately, my copy of Illustrator no longer works and I've not yet found a program that works as well to digitize and maneuver vectors as Illustrator (even the new version of Illustrator!) I hope I can find something I can use as easily again. Thanks for your very kind words!

You can be really proud of this picture, it shows the bond of both very well and I´m impressed how you managed to but some sort of emotion in Als armor-face! I really like that you can´t see Edwards face, it´s way more dramatic! Nice colouring too, especially Als armor. And I think you did a nice job on the background! It really looks like the fifth laboratory garden.

You mean the 'Good Morning' piece? That's the one I had to take down, not this one. I think I've gotten better since I drew that one so I don't feel so bad about it being taken down anymore - and it's true, it's their site and they get to decide what's acceptable and what's not on their site. This is the kind of stuff I LOVE in fanfictions, drawings, and anime episodes. If that makes me sadistic to all you guys, then GUESS WHAT? I'M SADISTIC! I really want to write a fanfic for this, but I don't know how to post stories on here, so the fic would just sit on my computer and the only person who'd ever read it is my sister. 
If I can get some tips on how to post storie, I have permission to use this picture on the story?
Story ideas would also be appreciated.

You don't even know.... how much I love wounded-hero moments. Actually probably you do since you were just commenting on my SEAR picture. 
Also your title here does funny things to my feels. Agh, it's like that flashback they show occasionally of big huge Al bending way down to the floor to pick up freshly-amputee'd little tiny Ed. T__T And I know he's like this big strong never-tiring suit of armor, but for all how easy it is for him to carry around his little-big brother.... there's still this wonderful, palpable.... vulnerability and precariousness. A frightened tenderness. Can your strength stop the bleeding, Al? Can your stamina keep him from doing anything stupid again? T__T
I wonder if Al ever feels super-conscious about taking care that his own spiky armor doesn't accidentally stab whoever he's carrying at times like this.
You have such a beautiful lovely style. And Ed's pose is killing me.

You and I definitely ARE on the same wavelength - I LOVE those moments (and draw them ALOT...) and you are so right about what makes those scenes so special is the feels of the people who love them dearly and fear for them! It's that rollercoaster of emotion that is SO addictive!
Some people have looked at me a little funny for my little obsession, maybe thinking I'm a bit saddistic, but I have to explain to them it's BECAUSE this is a story and not real that I CAN actually enjoy that feeling of sweet terror you get. Part of me knows this is fiction so I'm free to wallow in the feels!
Awww! You are so sweet! The title is actually from an old Simon and Garfunkle song but I think that's part of what they meant with it. What I can't get over is how you know EXACTLY what I was going for with this stuff! It's so great! I really can't wait to see what you are going to come up with as you watch the rest of the series!

Not bad! I like angst and that's got a great look to it. You really ought to show it to the gal who does the Senshistock pics - I think she'd get a kick out of how her pics are being used. I met her at a recent convention and told her how useful her pictures are but lamented that she had too few men in her portfolio - she said she's working on getting more models.

Well, I prefer Brotherhood myself. It is very close to the manga, which I recommend reading, and that's what the author intended anyway. If it had only been the first series, I doubt I would have become a fan of the show. Thank you again for commenting.

It took a while, believe me. I had someone pose for Ed, but even so, I had to redraw both characters many times before I was happy with it. I'm glad you appreciated all my hard work.

Love the picture, but I have to ask this. The title, it says 'He Ain't Heavy...'; was the title produced to the fact that Alphonse can't feel how heavy Edward is because of the armor he's in?

Actually, the title comes from the Hollies' song 'He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother' [link] - it's pretty famous and I guess it dates me (or dates my parents!). It's just that when I finished the picture, it was lyrics from that song that I heard playing in my head, so that's what it got named!

I see! I'm listening to it now, and even though I just started it, it does sound good. It's probably from farther back than my parents time. This song probably dates my Grandmother. My parents had me young, and my Grandmother had my Mom young as well, which is why it probably dates her.
