Description
Here is the second set of your requests. The first one is there .Please enlarge for the full view!
DarkQueen013 requested a new character
gender | female
age | 19
status | a princess of the royal family of Erum
outfit | everyday
name | Altena [al'tena], meaning''star''
In Ydnel, she would be a princess from the royal family of Erum, since the current Queen of Nidan does not have familly, descendants or close relatives
I am sorry that I could not make her birthmark. I tried, but it looked too big and weird being made of D&D
Here is a tutorial for the royal crown on the pillow
WhiteQueen94 requested a new character
gender | male
age | 25-30
status | Artisans, namely a perfumer, in his arm he holds a vial of lyde essence and a lyde flower
outfit | everyday fo warm weather
name | Hal Munoskon [hal mu'nɔ:skɔn], meaning "wealth, fortune" and "keen nose", a good surname for a perfumer
In Ydnel, he would be a prosperous perfumer living in Erum
I am so proud of his face and appearance! And he reminds me of an Italian, which is nice
CarlottaStudios requested a remake of her OC Willa
gender | female
age | 25-26
status | road guard
name | Vela [vela], it is the name of a tree
In Ydnel, she would be a road guard escorting and protecting travellers and merchant convoys
I am sorry that I did not show her pointy ears! And made her outfit too simple... but these clothes are meant for men, so nothing too fancy
DeeryDeerth requested a picture of herself as Ydnel inhabitant
status | Converse, namely a painter
in arm | brush and palette
outfit | festive
name | Lindana Priden [lɪn'dana prɪden], meaning " a maiden of stream" and "forest"
In Ydnel, she would be an aspiring painter living in a small town somewhere in woody foothills of northern Nidan
I know, you asked for an everyday outfit, but this skirt looked too beautiful, so I just could not help giving it a festive vest
You can look at the step-by-step of the landscape skirt here , it is made of D&D
I hope you like them
You can also make a request here

Thank you kindly for all the nice words ! I am proud of this work, so I am very glad that you like it
The landscape on Lindana's skirt is definitely one of my best attempts on scenery at Snow Scene so far, and perhaps my favourite one.
In Vela's outfit, I am more proud of the cloak (shaped after the in-game one, but made entirely of D&D). Other than that, I guess she would look elvish anyway because she is dressed in green and carries a bow and arrows.
For Hal's outfit, the requested palette was of warm colours with some hints of purple. I did what I could; I enjoy colour matching and probably it is one of my few strong suits.
It is nice to know that you liked the hem pattern on Altena's skirt! i like it too; albeit a random work, it seems to have a neatly balanced palette.

I truly love your Ydnel creations! I so desperately want to be able to visit there one day!!! You are a true artist and an amazing designer. It truly blows my mind whenever you post a new creation. Just imagining all of the time, effort, and patience you need to have in order to make some of your dolls... Like DAMN!

Thank you so much for your kind words ! I am truly very glad that you like my creations and designs
However you just flatter me too much!
Nevertheless, I would be glad to be able to visit Ydnel myself too! I created it as such beautiful world, with marvellous nature, ornate and colourful fashion, interesting history, reasonable laws and good traditions, that if right now, I would be offered to come and stay there for the rest of my life, I would have not hesitated a moment before accepting...
That also reminds me of your request. Please, do not worry, I did not forget about it. But I fear you and the others whom I still owe an Ydnel request, would have to wait until I have some more time to start making them again (perhaps till summer, D&D takes a lot of time, you know).

1st - Seriously, I never grow tired or less amazed by the patterns you create. She looks lovely in this gown - and for some reason, I especially like the edge of her skirt.
2nd - Quite dazzling colours for a man, but they dress him fine. Love the flowers on his vest, has a nice connection to his perfumer job. The flacon in his hand is cute! (Also, is he wearing make-up?)
3rd - The jacket has a very delicate pattern, a bit more simple than the other Ydnelians (whatever...) The cloak is a dream! That shimmering on the dark green, it looks fantastic!
4th - Another one of your "painted" skirts - but I think I've never seen one so marvellous. This is close to photorealism! The sky shading, and the beautiful landscape... I think this one is truly a masterpiece!

Thank you ! I am very glad that you like them
Again, I am glad that you like the patterns here! And the one at the edge of her skirt is my favourite.
I was requested warm colours with a hint of purple, so I merely did my best. And no, he is not wearing make-up, it is just I tried to make him look more individual... you can assume that this is his thick eyebrows and eyelashes then .
Patterns in Ydnel are very diverse, there are thin and subtle ones as well. Besides this outfit is supposed to be an uniform meant for men, hence the delicate pattern which is obviously made by the outfit's owner. As to the cloak, it took me the longest out of the entire outfit! Which is not surprising since it is made out of D&D
This ''painted skirt'' is so far my best attempt at a landscape in Snow Scene, because I was lucky to find two beautiful photographs for reference (that is why it looks so realistic).

The last one is my favourite on this picture too. I put a lot of time and effort into the landscape (took a whole day to make it out of D&D!) but I really like the result! Plus it was a request from a drea friend of mine and I am even more glad that she liked it.
And yes, it was supposed to look like a painting.

I really, really like Vela's design! However, my one gripe is, well, the hair. Don't get me wrong, I love this (I also like the simplicity of the outfit), but I was kind of hoping:
A. To see her pointed ears
B. That her hair would be in a long braid
But it's okay! I love this either way!

Arrelline In reply to CarlottaStudios [2016-07-19 19:27:30 +0000 UTC]
Well, I am very glad that at least you like her design ! Because actually the outfit's design is what I concentrated on the most of all in that.
And as I have already said before, with this hairstyle, you cannot really said that her ears are not pointed .

CarlottaStudios In reply to Arrelline [2016-07-19 21:59:39 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, not too surprised. In your deviations, you seem to focus to focus most on the outfits of the characters. Makes sense, considering it's using a dress-up game. Strange thing is, even though it is as I said a dress-up game, I mostly focus on the opposite; the features of the characters themselves. Huh, weird.
That is very true. Ah well.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Arrelline In reply to CarlottaStudios [2016-07-20 08:59:48 +0000 UTC]
Ah, you know, actually it is the matter of the dress-up game. In Snow Scene, with its limited choice of facial features, one cannot create a character unique enough, unless it has a distinguishable outfit and/or hairstyle. While in the games like LotR or the Tudors, there is a wider selection of features with more options to create unique faces and hence original characters. That is why I like them well more than Snow Scene (which I use a lot because of its handy D&D section).
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
CarlottaStudios In reply to Arrelline [2016-07-22 01:13:40 +0000 UTC]
That does make a lot of sense.
Yeah, they do have a nice D&D section. Even though that part is one of my worst enemies. I have hardly any patience for it.
Have you ever accidentally pressed clear when you were placing the final touches on a picture with a lot of drag and drop pieces? I have, and it is not pretty.
(BTW, sorry for such a late reply!)
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Arrelline In reply to CarlottaStudios [2016-07-24 08:29:46 +0000 UTC]
Perhaps you simply do not have enough of free time to dedicate to such a time-consuming and tiresome work.
Also I have heard a lot of people complaining on their browsers glitching because of lots of D&D, another difficulty.
And definitely! Accidental deleting everything when you put the finishing touches is terible. I always remember of that so I tend to save a lot of in-progress pictures while making something with D&D.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
CarlottaStudios In reply to Arrelline [2016-07-24 13:20:52 +0000 UTC]
Well, I do have a lot of free time. I just prefer using it writing, even more than playing dressup games.
Yeah, my computer can be a bit temperamental.
That does seem to help. I've never thought of that!
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Arrelline In reply to CarlottaStudios [2016-07-24 13:36:50 +0000 UTC]
This is what I talk about.
You do have some free time, but it is not endless, so you have to choose how to spend it. And you choose whatever you like more.
And what about in-progress saving. Of course it cannot help a lot if you still lose the final result. But it does help to save at least something.

And I am glad that you like Lindana's skirt, because I am so proud of it (and it took a whole day to make)!
By the way, would you like to make a request? You could ask for a picture of yourself, your OC or just a random character, and I would turn them into an Ydnel inhabitant.
