Ahh, it's really too bad he had to die. I thought this was a statue, at first, the realistic lighting and the pose made it seem like one. Really beautiful, overall, though parts of him (the inner shell) seem a bit dusty.

The one thing I would suggest for the future is more attention to cloth to give it a more organic feel to it because it looks like a sheet of plastic (and even then the texture seems strange)--I can see that you've tried to texture it, but you need to remember that even machine-woven cloths will have slight imperfections to them.
OVERALL you did very well, so please do not take this too hard--this is a DD well-deserved.

Something about the cape doesn't really fit in with the rest of it. It looks a wee bit fake. But considering the masterful rendering on the general I think that can be forgiven.

outstanding work, not because its a SW character, but because its simply a well done job. One thing though, the cape should be longer, Grievous could cover himself in the movie and the Clone Wars series.
