Damn she looks freaky as a thumbnail.
Anyhow, this is my second true digital painting ever, and my first featuring a human. Now, I have an idea down on what I want to do with it, but I'm throwing it out there to see if you guys want to suggest anything. I thought about putting a butterfly wing coming out of the side of her head near her left eye (your left, her right), but then again I'm not sure on it. The original background is much, much larger than this, and I thought again on having tree branches growing up out of her head and having vines and birds in it.
Any opinions on what you think I should do?
(Nikki, this was originally your goddess painting... But.. I .. Uh.. Got distracted...)
Also, her lips are still being worked on - they look horrible, I know. I'm going to be putting a little more shadow work into it, yadda yadda... It's still in sketch mode!
Please FULLVIEW! I promise she looks less scary.

More on topic, whenever people talk about "Mother Nature", they seem to be thinking of babies and flowers and pretty things, but nature isn't one sided like that. It encompasses darker things as well and this will have a lot more depth to it if you consider bother sides of the coin.
as for crit, her nose is off. the [my] right side is pointy and undefined. the eyelashes on the bottom lid bug me... In general I like the [my] left eye much better. the detail is sharper and the color and shadows are nicer.

I think you should... go nuts xD This is so beautiful already. I think maybe you could turn her hair into something... like waterfalls, that could be interesting xD You could add some lovely detailed spider webs somewhere, with droplets of water on them... I don't know, the possibilities are endless, in the end obviously what you want will be on there.

LOL, thanks for the great comment. It's funny though - I'd started working on it again before you commented, and the first thing I put in was a spiderweb with dew drops. Great minds think alike, huh?

Other than the lips, my gosh, it's perfect. The tones are beautiful and I LOVE her eyelids.

This is gorgeous already and I can't wait to see it finished! (I really need to beg for a tablet now xD)
I naturally think a waterfall would be a super idea, though maybe just sticking with trees and leaves and birds would be better. I don't know! I'm exciteddd to see the final thing.

Personally I like the idea of a cascading waterfall down one side and then the tree as if it is on the edge of the waterfall at the top on the other to give it kind of that 80's feel.

Come to think of it, everything I remember is fashion related.
