this is so cool! I love how sharp the details at the face are and how rough colored everything else is.

photoshop sai gimp painter clip studio? lol pick one
if you know how to draw you do not care about software, that's my motto. You can paint a masterpiece in the same Deviant art Muro.

Well, I accept your point, but there are a lot of programs out there. It can be a daunting prospect, when first becoming a digital artist, to be confronted with all these programs to choose from and all the tutorials (Digital Tutors, Lynda, etc.) that one might have to go through. It helps to narrow the field to know what program was used to create a piece of art that you like... I, myself, have settled on photoshop (and maybe Painter).
But I made a mistake: I phrased my request incorrectly and posted it on the wrong piece of art. What I really wanted to know was what program(s) do you use to do your 3D work. I'm trying to decide if I should spend the next 6 months learning Blender or Maya... or something else. I want to make 2D cartoons with the occasional 3D object and background, but I'm only doing this as a hobby so I don't want to spend years learning all the different programs out there. Thanks.
