I heard about the new Sonic Genesis comic series. Also heard about Sega trying to re-market Sonic correctly and stop making poor games. So I made this in tribute! XDCheck out my other Sonic work:

Looks fantastic! It defiantly feels like Sonic. SEGA should also focus on reviving Skies of Arcadia, that's a personal classic.

This is amazing! The colors, details, and atmosphere are spot on. Good job!
P.S: I can understand why Sonic 4 was a disappointment, but there's one good game that just came out, it's called Sonic Colors. There's plenty of platforming involved & the speed isn't as spammable as it was before. You can give it a try but if you don't like it, that's okay.

Yea, colors had its shining moments, but was still a bit too buggy for me. I played that at E3 along with Sonic 4 before they came out and was more impressed with colors. Im excited for the new one to come out, maybe it will be the gem I have been waiting years for!

Now take this, make it about 4x the size, and make prints available... I want a big poster of it. It's just that good. I want to see more of this type of work!
And Generations looks like it could potentially redeem sonic. Sonic 4 was a let down, Sonic's spinoffs have been terrible, and unless we see a true SA3 (w/o Knuckles' treasure hunting aspect and SA2's Tails in a mech) or a Sonic 5 (hell, call it 4 again, this one doesn't count) or Generations pulls it off and basically covers both of those aspects (as it appears to try to), I see no reason to keep hope alive for redemption (as much as I want to believe they can fix this mess).
Oh, and hopefully we can finally see the return of the 0 ring final fight as opposed to super sonic (as cool as he is).

I agree, sonic 4 was bush league...I played it at E3 and gave the Sega guys crap about the physics....everyone these days thinks that sonic is about speed....well, there wrong. It is about physics, and that is the key behind sonic. How can even the developers look past this is beyond me...
but yea, 0 ring boss fight would be sweet. I hope knuckles is back as a pain in the ass too...and tails as a 2nd player, exactly how it was on the genesis. I hope the death egg comes back too.

Yep. We need the speed of sonic 2 and the physics of Sonic 3/S&K
Sonic CD is also something to consider for this. I hated the spin dash there (charging) but I would like to see a return of the peel-out at some point. It was cool for no reason. I guess it made more sense for the top speed run for time travel, but it was cool.
Knuckles should be there, but he should at least be more like tails' speed. I always avoided the Knuckles storyline until I had played Sonic's like 8 times because he was so slow.
But back to the picture, I really like the lack of fine detail in it. I think that's what makes it so interesting. So based on that, I think you can keep it pretty vague, just the thick paint look, even without the level of detail now in the eye on the death egg, and it would be worth showing off.
