Sonic in the Labyrinth Zone. Of the Sonic Fix series thus far, I think this one makes the best use of the screencap background, and really looks like a scene in the game due to the reduced pallate. I worked especially hard on the enemies in this one, but the smaller Jaws looks a bit silly. I enjoyed "stretching" the larger one into a more aggressive pose than he usually appears in.Related content

I love this picture! It's so cool! I love the level as well. You must admit that Sonic is very brave. What'd you do if you were trapped in an underwater level and your only chance to survive is breathing in air bubbles?

Thanks for the comment! It's totally a scary thing! I think I was a bit afraid in Labyrinth Zone myself, I remember getting bubbles at every spot, and sometimes even running back to one over and over while I explored just a tiny bit further ahead.

That little "da-ding" as the timer counts down before the music changes? The funny thing is that I didn't even know what that was until years later, I thought it was just some kind of underwater noise. I suppose it would have made me a little more comfortable, being able to tell how much longer I could go... And of course that music itself was obviously designed to induce panic. I hate this level, it was so annoying and slow down then what Marble Zone was.

I've always hated the Labyrinth Zone =.=
it's just about these annoying countdowns when you're about to drown and the bubbles won't always produce quickly even you wait for it, and that really (and always) happens especially in the 3rd act of the Scrap Brain Zone ughh!
But anyways, this looks really cool. Especially the background.
