I've been thinking I'd never be able to top my old Labyrinth Zone picture [link] so I decided to try something a little different this time. In particular I was really inspired by some of Sorata-s's [link] Sonic pictures (that's what drove me to draw it in the first place) and wanted to try something a little "softer." The main thing is that it went a lot faster when I knew I wasn't going to ink as much as I usually do.
At the same time, the dilemma of do I ink more or less? I love nice linework, but I also love sketchy pencils, and I love no lines at all.
One thing I didn't get in this picture is the sense of claustrophobia and the depth you can fall when fighting the Labyrinth Zone boss, there's still a lot of height but I don't think I suggested how precarious the situation was. You wouldn't even guess that the water is rising unless you knew from playing the game.

This battle wasn't too difficult for me. In fact, it was relatively easy. All you have to do is concentrate on getting out of the tunnel, and don't put all your focus on attacking Eggman.

Yeah, the trick is to not try to go so fast that you run into him by accident or at the wrong moment! It's really one of my favorite spots in the game, it's too bad more people don't appreciate it.

Oh my god the Zone was bad enough but THIS BOSS, is the nail of the coffin.
Damn those pointy spikes.

Actually, this boss fight isn't really too hard. You don't really have to beat him, you just have to focus on getting out of the tunnel before the water rises. So you can just let him get away and still make it. And if you don't put all your focus into damaging him and focus more on escaping, the rising water isn't too difficult to outrun.
This one was more of a "Psychological Battle," than a "Physical Battle," in a way.

I know you can't beat him, it the way how Sonic moves underwater and when the spikes come out if you were too slow on that, you will lose your rings, plus the shooting fire can catch me off guard too.
For some people it easy, but for me I don't think I am that good at this boss. XD Also I forgot can you drown in that part, I mean this is a stupid question I might ask.

My resolution is 1920x1080. It would be cool to have one that is tall enough for center on my desktop.
I'm not worried about it stretching to fit the whole desktop, so I would just need it as tall as the height- 1080, if possible without you having to enlarge it and lose quality. Pretty much any of your Sonic pictures would be cool, but this one in general would probably be best.
Which program are you using to do your art? If you need help properly resizing, I can probably tell you what to do exactly.

Hmm, maybe. Is there a particular one that you want? How big would you need it? They aren't really shaped for wallpaper but looking at this one now it is pretty small!

Its still very nice regardless of whats wrong with it. Perhaps you could have made the water appear it was rising by having some sloshy wave action going on?

This boss fight I hated so much. That was until I found out that you didn't have to beat Robotnik at all! Now i can beat it just by taking my time and not doping dumb things because of the rising water.

That's the trick! After I got better at it I tried hitting Robotnik as I went up as much as I could. I've actually been able to get all 8 hits on him before he gets away completely, but it's not easy!
