I see what you mean, you know what your doing... and + overall the loader is small size already :/ lolz... I only expect up to 20 kb really and ppl should too, it only loads a fraction of a sec unless they have dial up then probably 2 sec - 5 sec...

Heh looks very good. Tough that is not my favarite preloader in that contest... The colest animation for shore but as a DA prelaoder i like that one [link] May be as a preloader it is not very good but it has DA feeling about it

yeah thats really cool, maybe if the bar didtn wiggla bout sommuch at the begining cos it looks a bit stupid, unless it maybe had a lightening glow effect that might make it look fiull of energy, but yes i must agree the clamping things is good.

It's insulting and rude to say that any part of someone's work is stupid...
...adding smooth looking glow in Flash7 is hard, and Flash7 must be supported if you want to enter the competition...wiggling has its purpose, and will be altered a little as will the fonts, but not until near the deadline.

The only complaint I have is the font. It should be something smoother not an over sized bitmap font.

I know, but any non-pixel font increases the file size by 5kb min, even several characters... that's why I haven't implemented numeric indicator as well...
But if the file size isn't much of a factor, I'll amend that...

For the loading you just need a static font. Make it a static textbox and then break it down via ctrl+b. That will make it more like 1kb instead of 5. For the counter you just need to embed the characters 1234567890%. You can embed specific characters with flash 7+. It shouldn't be too big of a problem. If you have any bitmaps as well try to use an all vector approach, in my experience this brings file size down the fastest.

This is the smallest version, but I will change the font for the "loaded" definitely; the original was without any text at all, but I uploaded this version to show that there will be some text there after all ( probably "play"), and since I wrote that it was under 12kb (the size of the original) in the description I wanted to keep it that way even with the new version, that's why I've chosen pixel font...
I think that even 20kb isn't too much for a preloader, so I'll put some nice fonts in, and add a percent counter too...
