Description
It's very easy to implement into your own movies - just a simple drag and drop onto the first frame, and that's it.
It automatically stops the timeline in which it was put in, until the whole movie is loaded and than continues with the movie normally...
--
What took me the most time was the graphics, vectoring the Fella to be more precise. The final Fella design is not as cute as the official one, but I like the slightly more badAss look and the glossy finish that my version has. I hope you do too.
For those of you with more advanced actionScript skills, check out the code for my actionScript lightning engine in one of the subFolders. With some minor adjustments you can implement it in your movies very easily.
There's also the code for those rotating bars in the pill crystal as well.
There's very few comments, sorry, but I think the code isn't that complicated, and I hope you'll find your way through it.
I hope you like it. Enjoy.
Comments and critiques are more than welcome, as always.

P.S. I haven't tested the MX2004 version. Leave a comment if there are any issues...

It looks like you have to copy the font to your project, as well.
I've updated the zip file with the new version, where the font is inside of the preloader folder.

Yeah, but still doesn't work for %.
Is it? I've recent download and checked your files, but you only updated is Actionscript 3. But mine is Actionscript 2 coz I've never learned study Actionscript 3 when I was at college Can you update with Actionscript 2, please? your .FLA is still the same from 2008

I would, but I cannot. I don't have the old Flash IDE with which I could save to that format.
Just copy the font as well when copying the preloader folder to your movie, that should fix it.

Hey thanks for making this! I managed to get it working in CS6. Everything was fine except the text kept glitching from 0 to . and repeated non-stop. I switched it out with the text in the pre-made preloader template, (located in File> New> template > Sample files > Preloader for SWF) then changed the instance name in CS6 and it works perfectly.
This might help with people who have issues with CS5 too, because I think it has sample preloaders in there.

I haven't been using windows for years now. The last time I checked, back in 2008, it worked. Be sure to use the AS3 .FLA version. There are three files in the archive, use pillPreloaderFinalAS3_by_ArtBIT.fla for AS3.

Thanks for this. Β I dropped it in the first frame as you said but it doesn't come up in the swf file here Β goanimator.deviantart.com/art/β¦
Do I need to add any actionscript or is it all included in the symbol?
π: 0 β©: 2
ArtBIT In reply to S0LARBABY [2013-11-20 11:57:09 +0000 UTC]
It needs to be alone in the first frame, before anything else.
If you have all your assets in the first frame, everything else would need to get loaded at once, so the preloader would not show up, until everything else has already loaded.
Try putting it on an empty frame, before everything else.

I'm using Flash CS5.5 and used the AS3 preloader for it.

Great preloader, but it doesn't seem to work in the new Flash CS5.5; the percentage just shows up as a bunch of zeros
