Quick Series 4 Araina, Known as RipplyRules for the "series" drawing must be of a size and composition that it can be completed in 3-4 evenings, amounting to about 12-16 hours work.
Done in sepia ink......throw away prefilled pens. Originally she was to have been done in varied width line only without fill in shaping and modeling and texture. What can I say, she wanted to be more solid. About 16 hours work.

Simply amazing inkwork! Love all the different textures you have popping out here. Gives a wonderful feel to the image. Those wings are very graceful, hinting at the strength to carry their owner aloft.

Thanks. Glad you liked it. It was based on an ink outline I did 20 some years ago of a small dragon figure climging in ivy. I don't know what happened to the tiny drawing, but I've always wanted to redo the wings/neck/tail thing I had going on in it. It's actually one image I can remember pretty well even though I haven't seen it in ages. I did change the pose some for this one, didn't have her strecthed out so thin and narrow. (the other was for a border on something).

Wow, that's a very long time to recall one sketch! Now I'm curious what the original would look like. (blushes) I know that what I could manage 20 years ago isn't on par with what I can do now, and I'd have to work to dig up anything I may still have from that time.

well, it was simple and I do have a tracing of it somewhere amongst my tracing paper records..............and I agree I've changed a lot in 20 years, too

Another fantastic dragon for my faves. I can't even begin to imagine the work that goes into something like this. The detail alone boggles my poor little mind!
