I made this little tableau of a tailor-mouse repairing a torn wing a few years ago - I thought there was a place for it here. Inside the gourd is a miniature tailor's workshop with all the tools of the trade.Related content

Yeah, I really wish I'd taken more/better photos of this - it is sold now, so it's too late. There were scissors, spools of thread, a pincushion, a tiny tape-measure, a jar of buttons, and a weeny rag rug inside that gourd.

btw, I like the idea on this one ... it reminds me of old ilustrated fairy tales, it just has that kind, warm feeling to it.. and it's really original at the same time! I like it

Inside it has all the tools of the tailor's trade - tape-measure, needles, pins, scissors, jar of buttons etc. The 'tailor' is the little mouse sitting on the gourd. He has a needle in his paw.

This is really precious. I love the details. How big is it?

It's quite small - the kneeling fairy is about eight inches - the mouse is about life-size. I wish I had a better photo of the inside of the gourd, but it was quite hard to photograph properly. There is a tiny tape-measure, pair of scissors, pin cushion with pins, reels of thread, jar of buttons and a tiny braided rug in there!
