I found it ok at first glance but the lighting on the clothing isn't right, i think it has something to do with the lack of visable texture on the top. something about the pose is bugging me too, i thing the right arm and left leg may want to be down more to give more weight to him. On the other hand i really like the Background and the way that there looks like a goblin creature on the right made of bracken.

as a parent this picture makes me really uncofmortable.
a small child, presumably alone in a dark forested area... it makes me think of the horrible things that have happened to so many kids, the light he's being drawn up into makes me think - maybe he's dead & his spirit is being 'taken up to heaven'
i think if the background were lighted & less muted - it might look like he's just using his imagination, playing in the woods, maybe on a camping trip or some such -- but as is, it's very unnerving to look at, for me personally.
