Description This is an alternative concept to my previous image, "The Exit": arthurblue.deviantart.com/art/…
Like that one, this is also a sequel to "Awake": arthurblue.deviantart.com/art/…

During the making of "The Exit" I thought of several possible concepts. In the end I had to opt for one (that's always tough) but I thought that this one now also had some potential so I developed it a bit. To be honest, I even think I prefer this one.

In the other images I received several messages and comments about the material I used for these red lines structures. These structures are not made with materials, they're made with actual 3D geometry. The red itself is just a color (sometimes with some slight reflections) applied to a piece of 3D geometry. Inspired by all these questions, I decided to make this more obvious in this image. So now you can see the red lines isolated from the surrounding infrastructure in some areas, so that you can actually see that there's 3D geometry behind.

Rendered in Vue, as always, with very little post-work.

EDIT: A DD, wow! Many thanks to little-billie for suggesting it and to PolyMune for featuring it.

I will squeeze out as much honesty from myself as i can. Saw this picture previous year, obviously pleased.

Downloaded it and set on my laptop's and PC"s screen. Showed to my friends, dreamed this place can be created at least if not in real world then in-game.

Let's begin:

The athmosphere, It feels real, warm enough (not hot), clean and fresh. It's like on my suburbian "dacha" but modern one. You can feel this athmosphere with every cell of your body and that's you want to feel if you was there i think.

The water. There's enough water, it allow you swim in it, but you can also watch it. Just bacause it flows quietly and smoothly exact where it should be, therefore it's so cool.

The building. Well, i'm the journalist, not the architect. But i like modern architecture. When especially you can mix it with the nature. Mix competently, with the exact vision of the each detail.

The sun. It's there and it's reflect from the water stream.

Thank you.

This is just so gorgeous. I love how you incorporated your signature to the left side there. I also love how you left the piece of orange cloth there. Makes the environment have that ever so subtle human touch. I would love to have a dream of this environment.

I'm in love with this image, and the story that I can build from just it alone, without even looking at others in the set (though I am)

It gives me a somewhat utopian impression. Clean, bright architecture working in concert with the geography and flora around it, bright, sunny weather, even the apparent nudity if my eyes don't decieve, tells me of a culture that has achieved both technology/envirmental mastery, and more importantly perhaps, technological/environmental harmony. At least that's what my mind made of this single picture, and I like it.

Faved.

And you are now Watched, to boot.

Thanks! Yes, there is. Well, at least in my mind.
Here's the sequence in which I made the images in this "story".
This is where she awakes: arthurblue.deviantart.com/art/…
Then I made the prequel to this image, where we see her dream: arthurblue.deviantart.com/art/…
Β  (This had an alternative depiction for this concept: arthurblue.deviantart.com/art/…
Then I made a prequel to the prequel, her first dream: arthurblue.deviantart.com/art/…
Then we come back to the present time, after she awakes, and we see an exit: arthurblue.deviantart.com/art/…
Β  (This had an an alternative depiction to this concept, which is exactly the image where you commented )

In this folder you can see these places and some others, from around this same world: arthurblue.deviantart.com/gall…

Who/what is the girl and what is her connection to the boy, I will leave to you. I have a story in my head but I prefer that you come up with your own.

Is the water going out or coming in? Possibly not as utopian as it first appears.
The red garment seems casually discarded, like at a Roman bath house.
