Description
In this image I joined several of the themes that interest me a lot:- Ruins and the mystery of its meaning, who were its builders, why they built it and when, why was it abandoned...
- Small lakes or ponds and the mystery of what lies beneath the surface
- Explorers finding distant, secluded places that no one had seen for many years
- Places full of lush green vegetation, bursting with life.
Rendered in Vue.

For some reason you like the mornings like i started like it nearby a 5-6 years ago. This is one one that really decent time of the day (of course if it begins with the sun!) and it makes you feel so all the upcoming day. One of my favorite. Absoliutely brilliant. Can't imagine what would be more surprising and satisfying.

I look at a huge number of procedural and rendered images and find each program has its tell-tale qualities - but this one is mighty hard to distinguish from reality. Amazing. The head is an inspired touch!

Awesome. So nice to see that it really does resemble photo-realistic quality and work. Truly stunning mastery of Vue.

Love all the details. The detailed mtn erosion looks like something from World Machine.

Arthur this is perfect, everything looks great! i wonder what kind of AA do you use and you manage to get so clear details and how many subrays per pixel you usually use?

Thanks! For this image my AA was Crisp/optimized/4/25/95%. This is the setting I normally use for images like this but I may use Systematic, instead of Optimized, if I have thin long lines (like the grass pending from the ceiling in the image "My Castle by the Sea"). One important thing: I never use texture AA. That tends to blur details and it's normally not necessary.
AA is not the only important thing for clear details. The lighting also plays a certain role, especially the light balance. Mine is usually at a high level.

This is such a beautiful image, so much depth to the image; the stone head to the left of the image is a really nice touch.
And the island in the little pond looks quaint. Absolutely beautiful!

The thing I love about your scenes is that not only are they technically perfect, but they are always lush (ok, almost always), with a sense of mystery and isolation. I really do love your work and this one is no exception.

I almost didn't notice that rock was a head-carving It looked so natural there (which can't be said for a lot of other renders I've seen which tried to achieve the same effect with buried statues) The mountains in the background look great, there's even piles of boulders near where the taller parts have broken away
I would say the leaves on the water seem too evenly-distributed, usually the wind tends to blow them around into "clumps" after they've been on there for a while. Alternatively, I feel the flock of birds is too densely-clustered. But that's all I could say about such a realistic render

This...is just utterly breathtaking! the level of detail from the lush grass to the wonderful lighting makes this look like a real place
the pond taking up the central space and the ruins to suggest this place has a story to tell.
