i feel like i really connect with this one. it reminds me of how i see things when i look around. i see nothing but colors and patterns in everything, and i cant help it, nothing ever appears plain to me. or to u apparently lol, and thats good! we see energy and beauty.

Yes!!! Everything is vivid, or extreme, even in dark conditions. Colors are like drugs to me! Good to know there are others out there like me

There's so much going on in there! I imagine this is what its like inside your mind. What inspired you to crack out the ol' colored pencils? Beautiful line work on the eyelashes and little flourishes coming out in the top right corner, by the way.

Thank you for your comment on my line work. I'm not fully done with it actually, needs more detail, but it's been so long since I posted on dA I felt the need to pull the trigger and post this for now. And yes you guessed it, my mind is pretty colorful.
I've been thinking about colored pencils for a while now. The desire had been steadily increasing day by day, especially since I haven't been painting lately. Seeing your drawing on my wall combined with our convos about art on Saturday night finally just pushed me enough to where I couldn't resist to crack out my precious Prisma box and dive in. I didn't get to bed until 3am but I'm not tired at all, in fact I can't stop thinking about drawing some more!

I've been super productive lately too. "Possibility" started on Wednesday during my night class and was finished by yesterday afternoon. I took a short break to print my portfolio and put it together, then went right into another big piece last night. I've been working on it all day since I left school this morning. Its basically an homage to Rick Griffin, but done in my style. Can't wait to get it finished. I keep adding details though. Either way, it'll be done by tuesday. Or I fail my class. Haha.
And the inspiration is definitely mutual. Since the last couple conversations we've had, I find myself looking at the process differently. Definitely something I needed to do because I felt like I was hitting a wall where my style wasn't progressing. So thank you too.
