Thank you for the tutorial. I like the plastic hair but I don't like how frizzy it gets.

Question, how do you attach the hair to the plush?

Myaahhhh, i'll get around to the pattern, keep forgetting.
In the mean time, try using this sort of technique if you wanted to make you own hair pattern. It is essentially the exact same technique I used to make Pinkies mane

Hehe, sorry, it'll be as soon as possible! Got a little distracted. I want to take the time and effort this time to make them neat and sized properly and type up some proper instructions

Thanks for the tutorial and link! I've been wanting to re-mane a Fluttershy and maybe the Cadence plush too.

Which plushies are those? This is only for the build-a-bear plushies, of which there is only Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash. I'm not sure how other plushies are haired so don't take this as working on other plushies

These are the hasbro ones. The ones with the shoestring hair.

I don't know how well this tutorial will translate to those plushies, if at all, so proceed with caution

Might happen, apparently the next ones will be Twilight and Spike, so hopefully they'll keep doing them, and i'll keep re-hairing them

For pinkie pie, it'd probably be fine to just stuff the mane inside the new mane, if you don't want to unpick the plush. ;o;

Unfortunately with the way I did it the bottom of the back of her head is exposed, and where the tail attaches to the bum is much smaller than where the plastic tail runs. It could be done to cover all the original hair, but I think you'd sacrifice some of the show accurateness
