► Dela Mer; About ◄
The Dela Mer was found between the Isle of Jas hundreds of years ago. The breed first came to shore in about 1724 when the isles were hardly
known about. In 1941 when the Isle of Jas were invaded by the Japaneses the breed disappeared once more due to them finding, and killing many of the
Dela Mer that dares venture to shore. Now in 2012 the creature has arisen once again to the shores in a very secluded area were our staff
have been studding them and slowly gaining back the trust of these very docile and careful creatures.
Its now toward the end of the year and the first of the Dela Mers are being trained to live with humans and other horses. Soon they will be available
for public sale.

► Body Builds ◄
Classic :
The Classic Dela Mer has a Warmblood build capable of almost any task, from Western to English this is the build most sought
after for the Equine world.
► Classic's manes are known to be the longest of the three.
► Female's manes are allowed to grow to half way down their necks, and more often than not do.
► Female's tails often grow to the middle of their cannon bone as a classic.
► Male's tail often grow to their hocks as a Classic, but sometimes are known to never grow longer than a bob.
Light :
The Light Dela Mer is built like a speed demon Thoroughbred, able to reach underwater speeds of over 60 MPH and ground
sppeds of up to 45 MPH this is the horse you want under you when it comes to flat racing, Steeple chasing, or any high
high speed event. And being able to turn on a dime this build is highly sought after for reining, herding, pole bending, and
barrel racing as well.
► Light's manes and tails often are short, and often don't grow as long as classic's.
Heavy :
The Heavy Dela Mer is build like a Fresian, Clysdale and a Lepizzaner all together. With the smooth elegant gaints and
thick heavy body this isn't a horse you'd take over high jumps but with great form this is a Hunter over fences or Dressage
type horse, also being able to haul heavy loads over easily twenty times its own weight this is what you want for the
rest of your fantasies. Don't get me wrong, this style can also reach some amazing speeds above and blow water,
along with jump any fence if properly trained.
► Heavy's tails NEVER grow past their hocks. [As see on the breed sheet]
► Heavy's manes are ALWAYS short in a sport cut, but the forelock sometimes does grow long.

► Breeding Information ◄
Gelding/Sterilization
Dela Mer's can be sterile from birth. With a 5% chance of this its highly rare that your horse will be the one to be
born sterile.
If you do not wish to breed your Dela Mer you can chose to have it become sterile within the first three years of its life.
If you do decided to have this operation done you must note the group.
Please note that if you wish to Geld/sterilize your Dela Mer after its been breed up to 4 times there is a 15% chance that
the operation will fail and your horse can lose its life. You Must note the group if you wish to do this. Your horses's
operation will be rolled on a RNG and if your number is pulled your horse will die. At this point in time you can not go back
on the operation and your horse will be noted as decided on the ID list.
Breeding
Dela Mer's can not breed until the age of 5 and once it has received a Breeding Licence .
If you attempt to breed your Dela Mer without a breeding Licences the foal will be born dead, with a 25% chance of the mare dieing
and that slot can not be re-used.
You CAN gain +Breeding slots that can be used before any
To breed you have to make sure both parents have a Breeding Licences by checking the ID List .
Proof must be made on both parents References that the breeding slot was given to you and has been accepted/payed for.
After this you must note the group with both parents links and the link to the breeding image.
You will receive a answer asap from our staff with 2 possible Geno codes.
There is a 15% chance of twins.
Breeding slots for Dela Mer's may not cost more than 3 Training Images. Point slots are at the discretion of the owner.
Inbreeding
This is Okay
Example A
------------------------------------------ SSS: Tennin
----------------- SS: JAKE
------------------------------------------ SSD: Hera
Sire: Bob
------------------------------------------ SDS: JAKE
----------------- SD: Lisa
------------------------------------------ SDD: Slip
------------------------------------------ DSS: JAKE
----------------- DS: Derik
------------------------------------------ DSD: Selina
Dam: Bobbet
------------------------------------------ DSS: JAKE
----------------- DD: Peta
------------------------------------------ DDD: Linda
This is NOT Okay
Example B
------------------------------------------ SSS: JAKE
----------------- SS: Monkey
------------------------------------------ SSD: Hera
Sire: Bob
------------------------------------------ SDS: JAKE
----------------- SD: Lisa
------------------------------------------ SDD: Slip
------------------------------------------ DSS: JAKE
----------------- DS: Derik
------------------------------------------ DSD: Selina
Dam: Bobbet
------------------------------------------ DSS: JAKE
----------------- DD: Peta
------------------------------------------ DDD: Linda
This means, a single horse may show up ONLY 3 times in a Generation. Such as, JAKE showed up THREE times in Example A in Generation 3, but
in Example B he showed up 4 times. Example B is NOT Allowed. If you are confused about this please note the group.
In Example A JAKE also shows up in Generation 2. This is Allowed. The point is that a Single horse can ONLY show up a MAXIMUM of THREE
times in ONE Single Generation. Aka 3 times in Generation 5, 2 in 4, 2 in 3. ect.
Crossbreeding
Cross breeding is not really allowed BUT it MUST be accepted by the group. If you do decide to attempt to cross breed the foal has a 50% chance
to die. The Dela Mer bred to another horse has the chance of fatal consequences 25% chance of losing the ability to breed [for stallions]
and 25% chance to die from giving labor [for mares]. Aka its not a great idea to breed your Dela Mer to another horse outside
of the breed.
If you cross breed your Dela Mer you will only gain 1 breeding slot per
The cross bred foal other than having a 50% chance of dieing has to be registered to the group as the rest of the breed with a Code after it with
a X before their registration number, example X059.
Foal Creation
When you breed your Dele Mer you are not permitted to create the foal. You have to come to the group with the parents and you will
be give a set of geno's. You must tell us what one you chose and we will create your Foal.
If you do not fallow this rule your foal will be dismissed and you will not be able to receive the foal. If you do this multiple times, ALL of
your Dela Mer's will be revoked from you.
This is a VERY simple rule, break it and you WILL black listed.
