Thanks so much for this tutorial, it was amazing! In the end you said you sprayed with fixative. What exactly is that and what does it do?

Fixative is the best thing I have found for any traditional piece that isn't paint. What it does is it seals the pencil (or charcoal, or pastel, or whatever) on the paper so that it doesn't smudge. You could run your hands over it all day and not see any color on your fingers! It is a great way to protect your hard work, makes it easy when you sell it because it's far less work for the buyer. You always want to make sure to purchase workable fixative, which allows you to draw or color after spraying. It's not often I do this, but when I need to, I can. You can buy them in any store that sells artist supplies.
And you are very welcome! I am happy it helped.

Thank you! I am happy you do! I would love to see more people try it; I've never seen anyone color like I do. Guess that's okay, though!

BOTH of the tutorials are GREAT!!
usually when I see tutorials on DA they jump from step 1 to step 4 without actually explaining what happens in the middle....yours are soo specific. thanks for putting them up. even if I don't work in the medium I can still make use of the info

I am happy to hear that! I didn't really care for those types of tutorials either. I figured if it was going to be helpful at all, kinda has to have a lot of info. I hope this does help you out!
