Being the one who usually stands without speaking, at first some may consider it shyness. However, Orcus is soon known to be always lurking in the shadows and watching everything carefully, gathering as much information as he can. He's never the one to start a conversation, and he tends to not speak a lot. He can come off as cold to some, but he's usually nice.

[Cunning]

An ability inherited from his father, Orcus is extremely cunning and always finds a way to get out of trouble. He also has Scaeden's silver tongue and is very good in convincing others. This will later prove to be as important as any battle skill he masters, especially because he's very thin and almost sickly-looking.

[Dubious Loyalty]

After being taken to Massilia by his father, Orcus had to force himself into being loyal to the Hunters. He had never truly liked the other Empires, but thinking about hurting his family worries him. Orcus' plan is to escape when he finally graduates into a full Hunter, but will his loyalties change over the time he spends in Massilia? (This trait is not an obvious one, and his plans are OOC information. Nobody knows about them.)

[Curious & Ambitious]

Orcus is usually eager to learn more about the world he lives on. Now having the opportunity to watch humans up close, he's always on his own (or rather, when he's allowed to be on his own), watching their way of life. He was a very ambitious cat and always dreamed of being a leader one day, and of course now that dream's shattered, he is determined to be the best Hunter Massilia has ever seen. He just wants to prove himself to his father. Orcus doesn't want Scaeden to love him (well... He does want that, but that's beyond the point), he just wants him to accept him as his own son.

[Rational]

An unusual trait on a younger feline, that's not so strong as of now, is that Orcus doesn't like to dwell on his emotions, and finds himself confused and out of his environment when this happens. He always sees the logical side of everything. As he grows, this will be much more proeminent, reinforcing the idea of him being a cold cat.

[Caring]

The few that are lucky enough to be called friends by Orcus soon learn he DOES have a happy, carefree side, usually controlled by himself. He is able to laugh and run and play and get dirty with those he cares for, and will always be there for those who need him. He'll sit down and lick your tears and say everything will be fine when you need to be conforted, and he'll laugh and make you smile when you're happy. His smile is seen less and less as he grows older, but when it IS, is enough to either make everyone else smile or get shocked, surprised to actually SEE him smiling.

[Bitter]

A part of Orcus' personality that doesn't show during his interactions with others, this male is very bitter towards his father, Scaeden. He doesn't bother being in Massilia - he has his plan anyway - but all he wants is Scaeden's approval... At least for him to admit that Orcus is his son. He doesn't even need to call him that. Orcus is determined to train harder than any other in order to prove himself to Scaeden.
... Deep inside Orcus also wishes for his father's love. He just doesn't admit that to himself or else he would feel even worse.

Biography:

Dezz was born to Alynnia on Fire Empire along three other cubs, Myles, Aurora, and Lyra. His mother rarely spoke of his father, but Dezz was aware he was one nasty Bounty Hunter. He was always interested about him, and why did he leave - but, unlike most cubs, he never bothered much about him and his mother getting together. Yes, he hated how he broke Alynnia's heart, but she was happy again. And if he was, too, Dezz didn't mind.

Dezz didn't have an ordinary cubhood. His siblings were exceptional trouble-makers, especially Myles and Lyra. While Aurora was mostly annoyed at them, Dezz always felt responsible for his siblings. He always accompanied them no matter what, and, due to that, was forced to mature far sooner than a cub should. He has no idea of what games he likes to play or what he likes to do. Eventually, Dezz got tired and angry, because he never had the chance to do anything he wanted. More often than not, as the months passed, he found himself at the blacksmith's den several times, and ended up developing a cub crush on the soon-to-become-official blacksmith apprentice, Aster. They were friends, and he liked her, but never told the female about his feelings - he himself didn't understand them at the time.

One day, though, his siblings and him were grounded at camp. They were playing hide-and-seek, and when Dezz couldn't find any of them, he assumed they escaped right under his nose. Furious, he, too, decided to go out and find him before something else did. Sadly, Dezz got lost, and walked for almost half a day. Starved and thristy, Dezz found himself at Lake Blackwater. His plan was to stay there and try to hunt something until a patrol came by and found him, but instead, he was found by his father.

Scaeden didn't know that was his son, and was planning on just capturing him. However, Dezz, proving his inheritance, didn't freak out, instead, he stayed calm and thought fast. He told Scaeden he wanted to go with him - planning not on running away as soon as possible, but to wait patiently when he was allowed out of Massilia. Then, he would walk back home. Scaeden pinned him down and they begun to talk, and that was when both realized their connection.

After talking, Scaeden decided to allow Dezz to come to Massilia with him and be a tribune. However, He was by no means accepted as Scaeden's son. On his own words, he was not his offspring. Angry not at his father's anger, but on the fact he was disowned, Dezz stays calm and agrees. He walks back to Massilia with Scaeden, but before he goes, Dezz requests his father to call him Orcus from that day foward. He goes back, and meets his dad's new mate, Caelina, and finds out he has half-siblings - a whole six of them.

It is unknown if Orcus will ever go back to Fire Empire, and be Dezz again.

Orcus rarely ever acts on his feelings. No matter how dire the circumstances are, he usually stays calm and acts rationally. It can gift and a curse, because he finds hard to deal with his own emotions.

Not usually seen in this hybrid in his cub/apprentice years, but as an adult Orcus will want the respect he deserves. Though he won't let others know how hard is, it really annoys him when he has to do something he doesn't think is right. He won't be getting into many arguments, hopefully, but he'll have his opinions and will get really pissed off if someone doesn't respect them.

Orcus was not aware that his father used earrings as well when he chose to use his. They were crafted by Aster, and that's the only reason he still keeps them... Or so he says. Deep inside, Orcus keeps them because he wants to feel connected with the father that ignores him as well.

- Though Orcus seems distant and too adult-like for a cub, he can open up sometimes and have some (few) friends;

- Orcus isn't the kind of cub that would lead the others into mischief, but always follows them and is quick to find a way to not get into trouble;

- Though his tail is built up like a margay's, it's not as long as that species' and is more fluffy, like a lynx's;

- He tends to give his paws some licks quite often;

- He has a small kink on his chest fur.

Though one would think Orcus prefers to be alone, due to his quiet, and for some, cold behavior, this feline needs the support of his friends and family to actually be worthy of something. When someone he cares for is angry at him or when he's left alone, that drains Orcus' will to train or fight. He hides it well, but he's not the kind of feline that would have survived as a loner.

Due to having well muscled, yet not bulky body, Orcus proves to be a great runner when he can. He doesn't like to use that skill very much for running away, though. This will later increase his agility and his prefferred battle strategy, of attacking the enemy and quickly running away from their reach.

Having lynx-like pawpads, made for walking on the snowy environments, Orcus has amazing stealth. With the proper training, he'll soon be able to walk without making a single sound most of the times. This, added to his fur color, that helps him hide on the foliage, makes Orcus hard to be spotted, and a perfect spy.

Orcus wasn't born with a perfect stamina. Good enough (4 of 10), but not as good as he wants. So, in his apprentice and Hunter years, he'll keep testing his limits and pushing himself, until he can manage long hours of battle and trainings. He still won't be good at running fast for a long time, though.

Being a medium-sized feline who is not bulky, Orcus' strengh is not so good. He still can take on a feline twice his size quite easily, and even fight with a larger cat, but he's not extremely strong as, say, Soren. However, Orcus DOES have muscles under his fur, he's just not massive, actually, as he grows his body will be more lithe, as his father's, yet well-muscled.

Orcus' intelligence will soon be known in Massilia. He'll be very good at coming up with strategies and tatics, as well as mixing the movements he learns - be it on hunting or in fighting - to get better results. As his father, he's extremely cunning and has a very convincing voice, managing to use facts that, for one, have no relations, together to support his opinion.

Due to being rather lithe for a feline whose body is built up more like a Lynx's, Orcus' defense is not that strong.
