[ UNDERSTANDING ]

Aranea can understand more than anyone would think. She has a deep sense of thinking and that usually leads her to seeing the situation from, well, almost anyone's eyes. She won't mind if anyone comes to her for comfort for she will always find a way to solve the problem at hand.

[ CARING ]

Whether it's the tiniest of problems or a whole mountain needing to be conquered, Aranea will be there for everyone; even if they aren't in her Empire. This is an attribute she values herself because she believes that caring and not closing off to anyone is the key to a happy life. She also believes when cats and others act like they don't care is because they're scared of being themselves.

[ RELIABLE ]

Aranea won't mind dropping down her duties to aid or help a cat in need. However, if she has suspicions about someone, say, about trust, who seeks her help, she will either give little to no effort. The cats she trusts and knows that will be thankful for her help, such as her friends, will get the most attention and effort from her.

Due to her past experience, she doesn't cling to anyone or seek help from anyone, even when she needs it and though she gives it away herself. She can go overboard with this trait; be away from anyone's sight for days and maybe even weeks to be with herself in thought. History
Aranea was born in Massilia and raised there to be a pit fighter. Her parents had many litters, but after her, none seemed to posses the qualities as she did. In one of the last litters was a kit struggling to survive. His parents rejected him and it was up to Aranea to help him trough. She couldn't just leave him to die, so she struggled, in all and any ways that she could, to keep him alive. She wouldn't have time to rest after her fights, but she'd have to go and aid her brother, who she kept in secrecy and named Tuko. She gave him a collar with his name engraved on it, and enjoyed being with her little brother.
It was one night when she came back that her brother wasn't there. Her parents had found out what she was doing, and got rid of the cub who was doing so well with his sister's help. Broken, Aranea thought that her brother was dead. She kept on fighting, but she felt no purpose in her life. One day after, she felt a need for change. In broad daylight, Aranea decided to make a run for it. She was sick and tired of fighting for someone's amusement, risking her life for nothing more than cheering. She ran and ran without looking back, and wound up in the coliseum. A familiar scent hit the cat's nose, and she couldn't mistake it even if she tried. It was Tuko. Frantically trying to locate her brother, she tripped and fell, her footing was all over the place. When she finally found him, the cub was closer to death than life. Aranea had no food or water to feed him with, but instead she carried him away from the place and absconded near the Empires.
She was desperate. She needed help with her brother, and just when she was about to give up, she sensed an Empire patrol closing in. She heard about these cats, and supposed they also had a place for cubs. Without wasting time, she said goodbye to her brother and made sure that the collar was on him, then left him somewhere where the patrol could find him. When they found him, she followed the cats and made sure they carried him somewhere safe.
She didn't want her brother to know who she was. Memories of cubs can get blurred and eventually messed up. Instead, she decided to join the neighboring Empire; Fire, to always be beside him.
