Description
For 's "Ed's new outfit" contest. So, something like this probably happened the day before Ed and Al made Winry that doll (from the flashback in the series), huh?
Alphenia! That's no way for a young lady to sit! (girl-name and dress color based on Princess Euphemia on Code Geass)
Thought I'd finished it last night, but then a few people pointed out some mistakes I've made. ^_^"
sketched on notebook paper one day, scanned, traced over and colored in PhotoShop with pen tool, some freehand with tablet.
It's hard to believe how few pictures there are of Sara (Winry's mom)... I did her based on the anime, but I did her bangs based on the manga. I kind'a covered her up, though. ^_^"

Nah, I'm sure it didn't really happen that way. But I needed some reason for Ed to be in a mini-skirt and that just came to mind. ^_^"

I wonder if Roy could have been behind this... he is a mini-skirt kinda guy. (Still don't like Winry) They are amazingly cute dressed like that ^^

I think Mustang's mini-skirt thing inspired me to dress Ed like that. And then the skirt didn't look right so I went to ep.13 so I could use his daydreams for reference. ^_^"
I think I like pretty much everyone in FMA... except maybe that annoying Y-whatever guy, and the lizard chimera... and probably some others I can't think of at the moment... But, anyhow, I think I like Winry, but probably because I'm something like her. ^_^" I think I've annoyed people by trying to be best friends with them when they didn't want to, and I like taking things apart (but nothing dangerous. just little things like VCRs and clocks, and I've only done it a few times)

Yeah, I don`t really hate Winry, just she isn`t my favorite since she cried a lot and was a bit annoying when she was with Ed. But she has good spirit and is tough. She`s funny though when she`s with Sheska in the movie, they make a good team.

I think they made her cry a lot to show that she isn't a boy or something. (shrugs) In a way it seems odd for her to act so much like a girl sometimes, and other times, she's so into mechanics. I kind of wonder if she actually liked machine stuff when she was little or not, because it only showed her doing that stuff after her parents died. Maybe she would have been a doctor if they didn't get killed.
By the way, Winry was so right about recipes being the right way to cook. I always try to do exactly what the recipe says (my counters are uneven, so I have to measure everything two or more times). ...Although, I think I used to experiment when I was little.

I suppose. Come to think of it... I probably would cry that much too if it was me xD
I wondered if she got into the mechanics because of Ed, so she could help him the best, and the only way she could have he was hurt. That's my theory.
I'm the opposite of that for cooking. I experiment with every single thing I cook! Tonight I tried making baked salmon for the first time without directions, and it was a success! Cooking is an art to me, but I guess it's all how you look at it. For baking though, I always follow a recipe, since you can really frig that up if you put too much water or flour.

I think she was interested in mechanics at some point before Ed and Al's miscalculation, because she helped Pinako with the surgery (I think...) and because she was really interested in Al's new, shiny body.
I guess I mess around with food when I don't have any directions. If I'm fixing some type of meat, it usually doesn't tell how to fix it, but if I'm making Pasta Roni, I do what the box says. (although there's some of those box pastas that don't come out right when you follow the directions, and I try to adjust the timing to make them work.)

Yeah, that's right, I forgot since I haven't watched the series though since May...? I'm a little loose on my details again. But I think she started taking it much more serious after the incident.
I don't have any cookbooks right now and if it doesn't have cooking directions on the label then I have to just go for it or I won't have anything to eat. But I've been cooking for a long time now, even just in small bits, so I know a lot about certain things. It's not like I'm trying to microwave pasta or boil chicken breast. If my creations fail there's always toast and jam at least ^^

Hmm... Do you write recipes for things you make, or make them different each time?
I guess I add to recipes more than I realize, really... I've found that the green package of spices you can get at Papa John's tastes good in a type of potato soup I learned from my mom, and on steaks, and garic salt and parmasan & romano cheese goes good with a lot of different things (sometimes together, sometimes not).

I'm starting to write the recipes down now, but it's because I'm compiling them for a cookbook-in-progress I call "The College Chef" meant for people like me who like to eat nice food but need to learn how and how to do it cheaply. Once I "invent" a new dish, it usually sticks in my mind and the guesswork becomes pretty natural. I learned a lot of things by observing and helping my mom cook too over the years so I've picked up a lot of useful little tricks for making great food.
