Description
A close-up of the clock tower from the first page of my FMA comic [link](lots of references used, but I don't remember where I got them from. If you do a search for Sighisoara, most pictures will include the clock tower, though.)
Pic's bigger (aka: download for fullsize), but I don't want it to get bigger than the screen...
(wonders if I should put close-ups of the extras walking on the street, too)

the buildings themselves are real, based on a photo.
...It's a comic idea I had a few years ago that I never got past the first few pages on. There was supposed to be a two-page spread of the street for the first two pages, and I never was able to paint the buildings the way I wanted. It was supposed to be a very artistic type of comic with full color and lots of shots of the sky and stuff (which was kind'a stupid to try for a first comic), taking place between the first series and the movie. With a plot that involves rocketry history and Dracula.

They look amazing! I never would've guessed they came from a photo, because, at a first glance, they look like they came straight from the anime. So, you did a really good job with making the actual buildings look more fitting to the anime/cartoon backgrounds ^^
From what I've seen of the comic pages you have, you did an AMAZING job with the colors (and backgrounds too). And, you draw the Shamballa version of Ed really well!

thanks. ^_^
Ed tended to always be a character that was hard to make look... 'Ed-like' for me. Something about his face. I probably took too long adjusting and referencing to get him to look right. But, my older pics like that (and maybe newer ones too), they tend to look a bit stiff to me, probably from where I focused too much on the details and didn't get the poses natural enough. If I decide to make the comic sometime in the future, I'll probably do a lot of practice sketches and stuff so I can draw the characters and bg's faster.

Oh, i know what you mean. When I first started drawing FMA, Ed always came out looking like some scary goblin xD (Those pictures will never see the light of day again.... ene). Then, I had trouble not making him look "too feminine" (But, that can be a challenge, since his hair is long and all). But, anyway, just keep practicing~ Practice makes perfect after all! And even if they're just sketches, I'm sure it'll still help ^^

I think my first pictures of Ed looked kind of girlish. But after I got more used to the show's style... it was just something about his expression or something, I guess. Like it was missing something that made him Ed. Probably something about the shape of his eyes and the specific way he smiles.

Ed is very expressive, that's something I've come to notice (especially in brotherhood when it comes to the typical anime deformed-chibi sort of expressions). But, you're right, it's definitely the smirk and grin that makes it the cocky little Fullmetal Alchemist we all know, that's something that I definitely noticed. In fact, when it comes to drawing any character.... if you can spot some specific things and details that make that character who they are, then it becomes much easier to draw them ^^ That's been my method anyway xD

I don't know much about it, just that Dr. Oberth lived there at one point and that it's also famous for Dracula. Can you tell me anything about the place?

Dracula is most famous at Bran castle, for all I know. . Near Brasov.
I know for sure that it's a famous medieval town.Every year there's a medieval festival there,in the last weekend of July. It's a beautiful city and the view from up there is divine.
I don't know much about the Tower,though.
It was built around the XIV century and it serves as a warehouse for the archives in Sighisoara. And near the tower there are 2 entrances in the city and one of them was used to execute people that were sentenced to death. And the clock has near it a framework with the 2 goddess. Not to much info

I didn't think everyone were gipsies. ^_^" (although I also didn't think about traditions and such much...)
You know anything about Oberth's house in Medias? I can't find out much about it...
I thought about going to Romania for a vacation with my dad this month, but I found that I couldn't get passports in time, and it's kind'a wintery, so it's hard to know for sure if somewhere would get snowed in. My dad thought we could go in the summer, though.
